You might’ve heard about the licensing fee which Microsoft charges 
Google’s Android partners for using its patents but how big is it?<br />

Well, the figures suggest its mighty $2 billion dollar a year. That leads to an average of $5 per every Android device sold.<br />
According to a new report by an analyst, the company is earning more 
from Google’s OS than it does from Xbox, Skype and Windows Phone 
combined. In fact, if the wild amount of money that Microsoft makes from
 Android is forgotten, these three divisions of Microsoft are actually 
making a $2.5 billion loss a year.<br />

$2 billion in losses are incurred from the Xbox division alone which 
raises the question of whether its worthy of spending more money on. 
This, however, might change after the Xbox One is launched, especially 
since the product is marketed as a complete media center, rather than 
just a game console.<br />

And what companies exactly are paying Microsoft this kind of money? Well, around 70 percent of the entire Android environment.<br />

Compare Windows Phone to this which makes a profit of just around 
$347 million and Microsoft’s own OS starts to feel even more tinier.</div>

Pakistan’s Information Technology exports rose 97.34 percent during 
last five years, said a document prepared by Ministry of Information 
Technology and Telecom.<br />

Document, that was presented in the National Assembly, said that 
total IT exports valued around $1.250 billion during past five years.<br />

Year-wise IT exports remained as following:<br />

<li>2008-09: $201.903 million</li>
<li>2009-10: $204.763 million</li>
<li>2010-11: $235.334 million</li>
<li>2011-12: $273.814 million</li>
<li>2012-13: $333.511 million</li>
</ul>
Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom has also set targets 
for exports of IT services for next five years which include $414.389 
million for 2013-14, $530.418 million for 2014-15, $689.543 for 2015-16,
 $910.197 million for 2016-17 and $1,229.738 million for 2017-18.<br />
Report said that combined IT services exports are expected to cross $3.7 billion mark during next five years.<br />

It was revealed that a total of 17 private companies of Pakistan 
achieved the targets of exceeding one million US dollars in IT services 
exports.<br />

Report said that there are over 100 countries that are depending on Pakistan companies for IT services and products.<br />

USA remained the largest foreign market for Pakistani IT services 
with 40 percent market-share. Other major exporters included United Arab
 Emirates (UAE), United Kingdom (UK), Netherlands, China, Bahrain, 
Singapore, Canada, Germany, Norway, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Thiland, 
Malaysia, Switzerland, Australia, Denmark, Sweden, Ireland and South 
Korea.</div>

Collective efforts from all stakeholders have barred the illegal 
voice traffic during last month resulting an 8 percent increase in white
 traffic, said Ms. Anusha Rehman, State Minister for IT and Telecom.<br />

During a follow up meeting regarding the monitoring of grey 
trafficking, Ms. Rehman said that this achievement is attributed to PTA,
 which had full support from Ministry of IT, ICH Consortium, Mobile 
Operators and Law Enforcement Agencies.<br />

Mr. Akhlaq A. Tarrar, Secretary IT, Mr. Azmat Ranjha, Additional 
Secretary IT, Dr. Ismail Shah, Acting Chairman PTA, CEOs and Senior 
Management of Mobile Operators and representatives from law enforcement 
agencies were also present on the occasion.<br />
The participants were informed about the efforts made by the 
monitoring team and the resultant arrests of culprits and confiscations 
of illegal equipment and gateways during the presentation: It is worth 
mentioning here that merely one such set up was involved in about 11 
million minutes per month of grey traffic.<br />

It was decided during the meeting that after consultation with 
Ministry of Information Technology, PTA will procure SIM Box detection 
Service to further strengthen the activities against grey traffic.<br />

The State Minister emphasized on taking the general public in loop so
 that optimal outcomes might be attracted. In this regard it was decided
 that an extensive media campaign under Corporate Social Responsibility 
(CSR) banner would be run by PTA, using electronic media particularly, 
Mobile Companies will participate in generating SMS messages and 
proactive measures to engage public in curbing this menace of grey 
traffic.<br />

In view of the outcome of these measures, the ICH policy will accordingly be reviewed at the end of December.</div>

23-year-old software professional on the charge of hacking into 
www.aiadmkallindia.org, the official website of the AIADMK. The website 
was hacked on November 2 by individual/individuals claiming to be the<strong> Pakistan Haxors Crew (PHC)</strong>.</div>

actually defaced the site on Deepavali day, claiming to be the PHC and 
posting its logo and pro-Pakistani slogans.</div>

Commissioner of Police and a case was registered by the Cyber crime team
 of the Central Crime Branch. Police sources said the hackers had 
defaced only the homepage but did not tamper with any other part of the 
portal. The site has been blocked now and a special team is conducting 
the probe.</div>
The news sounds odd, Indian hacker, hacking Indian website and placing Pakistan Haxors Crew ( PHC ) Mark there.<br />

24 hour period is PKR 999 for Pre-paid and PKR 2,000 for Post-paid</li>

Post-paid) using the same Credit/Debit Card in any 24 hour period</li>
<li>Please note that Zong on its website does not require you to enter 
any of your Card Account Details and consequentially does not store or 
maintain your card details to ensure card account information security. 
The Card details required during the transaction are entered on a portal
 maintained by a third party (Etisalat) under global recognized PCIDSS 
requirements (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards)</li>
<li>Please do not in any way whatsoever give your Card Account details 
to anyone or on any suspicious websites, including any person 
representing to be a part of Zong’s workforce, whether on Zong’s 
authorized touch-points (310, Web Chat etc.) or otherwise</li>
<li>There is no refund or reversal of your transaction, so please verify the transaction amount before your proceed</li>
<li>Please ensure that your power supply and Internet connection remain active through the transaction</li>
<li>If you believe that an amount has been deducted, but the recharge 
amount has not been credited into your account, please dial 310 to lodge
 a complaint</li>
<li>You must use your own card to make payment online. In case, payment 
is made through any counterfeit or stolen credit / debit card, Zong 
reserves the right to block the service and recover the dues.</li>
