Samsung Announces its Third Wearable, The Galaxy Fit

Anyone who thought Samsung has had enough with wearables at the MWC 
was wrong. There is indeed a third Gear, called the Gear Fit.<br />

The wearable is aesthetically the most-pleasing of the lot. Its 1.84″
 rectangular curved AMOLED display gives it a touch of the future. The 
resolution is quite modest at 432 x 128. It comes in three different 
colours with changeable rubber straps and weighs just 27g.<br />

Just like the <a href="http://rexhacker.blogspot.com/2014/02/samsung-announcesthe-gear-2-and-gear.html" target="_blank">Gear 2 and Neo</a>,
 the Fit also runs on Samsung’s new Tizen OS. Samsung has paid some 
special attention to make the device a perfect fitness tracker. You get a
 built-in heart sensor, pedometer and step-counter.<br />
Huawei also announce its First wearable device that name is <a href="http://rexhacker.blogspot.com/2014/02/huawei-announces-its-first-wearable.html" target="_blank">Talkband B1</a>. <br />

The Fit can’t take calls but it does display your notification on your wrist. It also syncs with the Galaxy S4′s S-Health app.<br />

Connectivity is done with Samsung phone via Bluetooth 4.0. (Sorry, no NFC.)<br />

Finally, just like the Gear watches and the S4, the Fit is 
IP67-certified, which means water-resistance for up to 30 minutes under a
 meter of water, apart from dust-resistance. Battery life is said to 
last up to 4 days.<br />

The Fit is said to be released in April but pricing details aren’t revealed as of yet.<br />

Given its pleasing design and integration prowess, it is safe to say 
that the wearable can give the Fitbit Force and Nike+ Fuelband SE a run 
for their money.</div>

Oh boy. If you had asked us a few hours back whether Samsung, the 
world’s largest phone-maker, was going to announce its next flagship 
today, we would’ve said “Heck no”. But believe it or not, its here and 
alive: the new Galaxy S5.<br />

Quite remarkably for a Samsung flagship, the phone comes without a 
lot of hype. Samsung didn’t do much to build it up either as they 
probably knew that there aren’t really a lot of earth-shattering 
features in here.<br />

<h4>
<span style="font-weight: bold;">Design</span></h4>
The biggest head-turner in the new phone is the design. Gone are the 
slippery, cheapish polycarbonate plastics of the past, welcome the new 
“modern glam” look. The perforated, dimpled back is similar to the first
 Nexus 7 and is quite an improvement over the Samsung phones of 
yesteryear.

It is still made of a leather-like material like the Note 3. 
Surrounding the phone is the same metal-imitating silver plastic. The 
phone itself will be available in four colours: Black, White, Gold and 
Blue.
<br />
Another quantum leap in the Galaxy S5 is the IP67 certification, 
which means the phone is water and dust-proof. The front, apart from 
carrying the display, has a home button with an integrated finger-print 
scanner built-in.<br />

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Display and Fingerprint scanner</span></h4>
The display of the Galaxy S5 is a larger by 0.1″, to 5.1″. It is 
still a Super AMOLED panel and carries the same 1080p resolution which 
means it is almost the same as last year.

While latest rumours suggested a QHD panel, Samsung obviously 
thought it was necessary. We might’ve grimaced but Sony too has used the
 same resolution in the <a href="http://rexhacker.blogspot.com/2014/02/sony-announces-its-latest-flagship.html" target="_blank">Xperia Z2</a>. 
<br />
The most-intriguing feature of the front is the finger-print 
scanner. Just like Apple’s TouchID, it is built-in straight into the 
home button. Swiping the finger over it unlocks the phone. It is 
implemented in phone unlocking and further into the phone, where you can
 add insert the feature to keep other people at bay.

Samsung has even partnered with PayPal to allow users to make 
online payments via the scanner. We don’t know much more about it so 
we’ll update if something comes up.<br />

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Internals</span></h4>
Being a flagship phone, you naturally think that the phone will come 
with beefy hardware and you’ll be right in doing so. The new Galaxy S5 
comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with four Krait 400 cores
 clocked at 2.5Ghz and an Adreno 330 GPU. <br />

Internal storage will be either 16 or 32 GB, which means the 64 GB 
version is axed this time. It will of course be expandable via a microSD
 card of up to 128 GB. (In case you wanna know, SanDisk announced those 
earlier at the MWC and they cost about 145 Euros a piece.)
<br />
The former is the second most-advanced processor which Qualcomm 
makes after the 805. Apart from that, the phone also comes with the new 
Wi-Fi 802.11ac, NFC, Infrared and the new microUSB 3.0.
<br />
4G LTE-advanced is supported and the phone can provide speeds of 
up to 150 Mbps. It also comes with a new feature called “Download 
Booster” which combines the speed of Wi-Fi and data connection to 
provide ultra-fast network.<br />

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Camera</span></h4>
Galaxy S5 comes with a new 16 megapixel camera at the back, with LED 
Flash. The camera provides the fastest autofocus of any smartphone 
camera right now, thanks to the new Snapdragon 801′s image signal 
processor.<br />

The camera also shoots 4K videos at 30 frames per second this time. 
And as is mandatory with Samsung, there are a few bonuses bundled along 
too. The first and foremost is the new HDR, which makes photos look more
 striking and natural.
<br />
The second, is Selective Focus. This is a thing commonly seen on 
advanced cameras. It allows you to sharpen only the parts of the image 
that you want, blurring the rest of the snap.<br />

<h4>
<span style="font-weight: bold;">OS</span></h4>
We know that Samsung’s phones come full of hated bloatware and a heavy skin but this time, things are less intense.<br />

The phone comes with Android 4.4.2 KitKat pre-installed. The 
interface is a bit flat and simpler, with less menus. It still comes 
with Samsung’s S-branded apps but it is a bit cleaner look and 
definitely a welcome change, though, we would’ve liked a bit more.<br />

<h4>
<span style="font-weight: bold;">Miscellaneous</span></h4>
Samsung clearly intents in making this phone the one-stop to all your
 fitness needs. The S5 is the world’s first phone with a heart-rate 
sensor, which it has on its back. It also comes with an updated S-health
 app which syncs with Samsung’s Gear and Fit devices.<br />

The battery capacity is now set at 2,800 mAh and is said to last 20% longer.<br />

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Competition</span></h4>
Not many companies have announced flagships up till now, except for Google with the Nexus 5 and Sony with the <a href="http://rexhacker.blogspot.com/2014/02/sony-announces-its-latest-flagship.html" target="_blank">Xperia Z2</a>. The S5 faces stiff competition from both and unfortunately doesn’t come with a lot of distinguishing features.<br />

If you’re a Samsung exec or fan, its easy to say that today wasn’t 
the best day of your life. The reaction to this announcement has been 
decidedly underwhelming, with many people questioning the lack of 
innovation factor in the phone.
<br />
Of course, you could’ve said the same thing about Sony’s flagship
 which isn’t exactly ground-breaking but unlike Sony, Samsung is a front
 runner. It is the company after all which embraced HD and Full HD 
displays with open arms and is known to experiment and implement. What 
happened now?
<br />
Ultimately, the most-puzzling thing is that the Galaxy S5 can’t be declared the best phone that Samsung makes right now, as the <a href="http://rexhacker.blogspot.com/2013/09/samsung-launches-3rd-generation-note.html" target="_blank">Note 3</a>
 is ahead in a number of ways. The Galaxy S5, then, is while a 
respectable addition to the company’s flagship lineup, not exactly 
properly distinguishable.</div>

Samsung’s first proper entry in the smartwatch in recent times might be full of missteps but that hasn’t stopped it from trying.<br />
So about half a year after it announced the <a href="http://rexhacker.blogspot.com/2013/10/samsung-along-with-ufone-launches.html" target="_blank">Galaxy Gear</a>, here are the Gear 2 and Gear Neo.<br />
And no there’s no typo in here. Samsung has opted for Tizen instead 
of Android and hence no Galaxy naming. The difference between the two 
smartwatches is almost negligible with the only difference being the 
absence of a camera and weight.<br />
The Gears come with a better 1Ghz dual-core processor under the hood,
 along with the same 512 MB RAM and 4 GB storage. The screen is the same
 1.6″ panel though.<br />

The front of the watch comes with a single button this time, along 
the change in the lens’ position from the strap to the top of the 
display, which means the band is now changeable.<br />
There is also an increase in their functionality. They can now act as
 a music player on their own, without the need of being tethered to a 
phone. Bluetooth 4.0 also allows you to connect a wireless headphone 
with them.<br />
The watches also come with a heart-rate sensor (perhaps in an effort 
to compete with Apple ‘s iWatch), IP67 certification meaning they’re 
water and dust-proof and Infrared for controlling your television.<br />
The Gear 2 also comes with a 2 megapixel camera with 720p HD video. 
That adds a bit of a heft to it and makes it tips the scales at 68g, 
compared to the 55g of the Neo.<br />
Unlike the first Gear, the new watches will support “dozens” of 
Samsung handsets from the get-go. Battery life is also increased to 2-3 
days, up from the grand total of one on the first model.<br />
Price and availability details are undisclosed at this moment in time
 but you should probably watch out in April. Both of ‘em will be 
available in three colors.</div>

Samsung has announced a new smartphone for SIM-card collectors. The new Galaxy Star Trios goes one step above its <a href="http://rexhacker.blogspot.com/2013/12/samsung-announces-dual-sim-android.html" target="_blank">Duos cousin</a> and houses three SIM-card slots.<br />

The phone obviously lies in the budget market and its maker tries to 
hide nothing with its 3.1″ display with resolution of 240 x 320 pixels.<br />

The same thinking runs deep down to the hardware. You get a 
single-core Snapdragon S1 processor and 512 MB RAM. A lonely rear-camera
 sans flash is found at the back while the front is totally bare.<br />

Samsung has announced a new version of its <a href="http://rexhacker.blogspot.com/2013/10/samsung-along-with-ufone-launches.html" target="_blank">Note 3 smartphone</a>, in the Note 3 Neo with stripped down specs and of course the price.<br />

The display of the phone is trimmed by 0.2 inches to a 5.5″ Super 
AMOLED unit. The big bummer is the resolution, which is bumped down from
 1080p to 720p HD. The design is inspired from the Note, however, with a
 leathery back.<br />

Beneath, you will find a quad-core 1.6Ghz Cortex A7 processor. The 
special “LTE+” version will get a hexa-core processor though, consisting
 of a 1.7Ghz dual-core Cortex-A15 and a 1.3Ghz quad-core Cortex A7 
processor. There will also be 2 GB worth RAM and 16 gigs of expandable 
storage.<br />

Towards the back will be an 8 megapixel camera with 1080p video, down

Being a Note, the most important aspect of the phone is the S-Pen itself which, thankfully, isn’t forgotten.<br />

Samsung has announced a new phone, trying to give quite a rich feature-package for a comparatively low price, the Galaxy Neo.<br />

The Galaxy Neo comes with a 5″ display, a quad-core processor and a 5 megapixel HD camera.<br />

The display comes with a subpar resolution of 480 x 800 pixel 
resolution, which we think is a bit disappointing. The design is the 
same plastic which the company uses for the low-end phones.<br />

Underneath, you will find a 1.2Ghz Cortex A7 quad-core processor, 
along with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB expandable internal storage. Around the 
back is the 5 megapixel camera with 720p HD video, accompanied by a VGA 
shooter on the front.<br />

The phone is powered by a 2,100 mAh battery, which is also removable.
 The version of OS is Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, obviously customized by 
Samsung.<br />

Samsung has announced a new tablet for the budget-conscious audience 
with the new Tab 3 Lite. The cheaper version of the already-cheap 
original Tab 3 comes with a 7″ display, dual-core processor and Android

The display comes with a mediocre resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels 
(welcome back 2011). The tablet is also quite mediocre in terms of looks
 and aesthetics, as is usual with products at this price point.<br />

The display comes with a qHD resolution of 540 x 960 pixels which

Last year, Samsung did its first major attempt in offering a phablet for a acceptable price through the Galaxy Grand. Now, they’re announcing a successor to that phone now, through the Galaxy Grand 2.<br />

The Grand 2 builds upon its predecessor by offering a larger, 
higher-resolution display, faster internals and a new, leather-like 
finish. These features bring it closer to the <a href="http://rexhacker.blogspot.com/2013/09/samsung-launches-3rd-generation-note.html" target="_blank">Note 3</a>.<br />

On the front, you’ll get a 5.25 inch LCD display with 720p HD 
resolution and Gorilla Glass 2 protection. Another change people will 
notice is the new leather-like finishing on the phone, just like the 
Note 3 unlike the plastic of the first-generation Grand.<br />

Samsung has announced a new smartphone in its Galaxy range of 
smartphones, the Galaxy Core Plus. The Core Plus is meant to compliment 
the Core smartphone and not supersede it. As a result, it comes with a few specs less tempting than its brother.<br />

The Core has a 4.3 inch display with 800 x 480 resolution, with 
Gorilla Glass protection. The design of the smartphone is made of 
plastic, as expected, and the phone is overall 9.5mm thick and 132.5g in

Samsung announced the launch of its new products along with Ufone at a

 Samsung’s curved display phone is finally here and its called Samsung 
Galaxy Round featuring a horizontal curve that is pretty much deep and 
hence notable.<br />
Carrying forward the convectional design, Samsung Galaxy Round offers
 5.7″ Full HD Super AMOLED with 7.9mm thick and weighs 154g offers a 
comfortable hand grip feeling to user, and exclusive experiences of 
curved display.<br />
Samsung said that it has put the curved nature of phone in use by 
allowing users to check information such as date, time, missed call and 
battery easily when home screen is off, and the Gravity Effect for 
creating visual interaction with the screen by tilting the device.<br />
Other than this the deep curve will serve no purpose, but probably a distinction you can experience amongst your fellows.<br />
Inside the Galaxy Round there is a 2.3 GHz MSM 8974 quad-core 
processor to power the phone. Other luxuries include 32GB of internal

Galaxy Round sports a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera while there is a 2MP front-facing camera too.<br />

Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids comes pre-loaded with top ranked kid’s apps
 and brand new Kid’s Store aimed at driving the educational 
possibilities of technology for kids. Pre-loaded content includes 
educational, games, entertainment and e-book apps. The tablet also 
offers parents the ability to select the apps they want their kids to 
have access to using the Application Manager.<br />
Developed with kids’ best interests at the forefront, Samsung GALAXY 
Tab 3 Kids also includes a Time Management feature that allows parents 
to set specific time periods for use. When the designated use time is 
up, a password protected lock screen appears, requiring a parent or 
adult to enter the password to unlock the device. This tool will help 
parents ensure the time their children spend on smart devices is

With 1.2GHz dual processor, 1GB RAM, 3 megapixel front-facing camera
