While Sony was quite busy with announcing flagships, it certainly 
didn’t forget the lower-end phones either. The Xperia M2 is a mid-range 
phone which costs $300 (about 31,500 PKR) and comes with a 4.8″ display,
 an 8 megapixel camera and a quad-core processor.<br />

The 4.8″ display comes with qHD resolution, which makes it the largest phone of its class. The panel is also scratch-resistant.<br />

Under the hood, you get a 1.2Ghz Snapdragon 400 processor with four 
Cortex A7 cores. Alongside it is 1 GB worth RAM and 8 GB internal 
storage, expandable via microSD.<br />

Towards the back is an 8 megapixel Exmor RS camera with LED Flash and
 HDR. Quite surprising for its price bracket is the fact that it shoots 
Full HD 1080p videos. Its pleasing indeed to see Sony bringing its

Connectivity options include 3G , NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and GPS. 
The OS running on the phone is Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, which should be 
upgraded later onwards. Battery capacity is set at 2,300 mAh.<br />

Sony has announced its new flagship tablet for 2014 at the MWC, the 
Xperia Z2 tablet. In case you’re wondering, ‘tablet’ is officially a 
part of the name too.<br />

Sony is calling its new baby the thinnest and lightest waterproof 
slate in the world. At just 6.4mm thick and 439g heavy, the aesthetics 
of this tablet are really inspiring, even if the bezels are a big wider 
than we would’ve liked.

IP58 certification further sweetens things up.
<br />
The front is home to a 10.1″ Full HD display. Apart from 
borrowing the name from Sony’s flagship smartphone, the tablet has also 
borrowed the display tech, namely, the Triluminos IPS panel with 
X-Reality engine.
<br />
Under the hood, you get a 2.3Ghz quad-core Snapdragon 801 
processor and Adreno 330 GPU, along with 3 GB RAM and 16 GB expandable 
storage.

At the back of the tablet is a 8.1 megapixel camera with Exmor RS
 sensor, HDR and 1080p Full HD video recording. A 2 megapixel 1080p 
front-facer can be found too.
<br />
NFC, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0, FM Radio and microUSB 
2.0 with MHL 3.0 take up the connectivity responsibilities. The tablet’s
 speakers are also moved to the front to form a new S-Force Surround 
Sound setup. For all the gamers out there, Sony is bringing official 
controller support for both its Z2 products.

The Z2 tablet runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat. A 6,000 mAh battery powers the tablet up. Just like the <a href="http://rexhacker.blogspot.com/2014/02/sony-announces-its-latest-flagship.html" target="_blank">Xperia Z2</a>, Sony will bundle this tablet along with a noise-isolating headphone too.
<br />
Pricing details are unknown as of now but considering the Wi-Fi 
version of the original tablet went up on retail for $499, we don’t 
think pricing for this one will be much different. The Z2 tablet will be
 available in either Black or White.</div>

Sony seems to be Google’s most-active Android partner right now, 
churning out new flagships every few months. It seems not long ago that 
it announced its <a href="http://rexhacker.blogspot.com/2013/09/sony-outs-its-xperia-z1-brings-2-new.html" target="_blank">Xperia Z1</a> flagship and now here’s the Z2.<br />
The upgrades made over that phone aren’t ground-breaking but welcome 
nonetheless. All the people who just brought a Z1, we sense, won’t be 
too happy right now. But with Sony, you never know.<br />
The display here is a 5.2″ Full HD, slightly larger but with the same
 resolution. The real bump comes in the panel’s technology. Rather than 
using the same dull unit as the Xperia Z and Z1, Sony has instead chosen
 a new Triluminos IPS display which uses a technology called Live Color 
LEDs.<br />
These displays also use Sony’s Bravia tech, made popular via its televisions.<br />
Under the hood, you find a new quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset, with
 four Krait 400 cores clocked at 2.3Ghz. That’s accompanied with 3 GB of
 RAM.<br />

At the back is Sony’s famed 20.7 megapixel Exmor RS camera with f/2.0
 aperture which now also shoots 4K videos at 30 frames per second. It 
also has a few clean tricks under its belt. Timeshift is a new feature 
which allows you to shoot and edit slow-motion videos. A dedicated mode 
for Vine videos and background defocusing is also home.<br />
The front boasts a 2.2 megapixel Exmor R shooter. The Z2 is powered 
by a 3,200 mAh battery. The OS running on board is Android 4.4.2 KitKat,
 customized obviously by Sony.<br />
Being a flagship phone, the phone is monumentally thin – just 8.2mm –
 and looking at its size, weighing a marvelous 158g. And as you’re 
already guessing, the phone is IP58-certified, meaning you can take it 
underwater with you without a worry in the world.<br />

The new Xperia Z2 will be available for 600 Euros or around 86,000 
PKR at its launch in March. Sony does sweeten the deal further by adding
 its own, MDR-NC31EM noise-isolating headphones in the package.<br />
So if you already own the Z1, the Z2 may not be as tempting and we 
really don’t think that the device is worth upgrading to. If you don’t, 
then we propose waiting up a bit until Samsung and HTC have announced 
their competitors to the phone, which we think are probably coming in 
the next one or two months.</div>

Sony has announced its first phablet targeted towards the more modest
 households and audiences in the new T2 Ultra. The phablet comes with a 
6.1″ display, a quad-core SnapDragon processor and a 13 megapixel 
camera.<br />

The phone comes with Sony’s TRILUMINOS and Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 
technologies, apart from carrying 720p resolution. Like other Sony 
ultra-large smartphones, this one isn’t water-proof but will instead 
come in either single-sim or dual-sim configurations<br />

Underneath, a quad-core SnapDragon MSM8298 processor clocked at 
1.4Ghz, along with 1 GB worth RAM, Adreno 305 GPU and 8 GB internal 
storage, which is also expandable.<br />
Around the back is a 13 megapixel Exmor RS camera with Full HD video 
recording at 30fps. A 1.1 mp Exmor R front-facer can also be found.<br />

Connectivity options include NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB, Wi-Fi and 
4G LTE. The T2 Ultra will be available in Black, White and Purple.<br />

Sony is announcing a new budget-phone for the music-loving crowd with
 the Xperia E1. The phone is its first in a long time to come with a 
dedicated Walkman key and a crazy loud loudspeaker.<br />

The display you get upfront is 4″ large and comes with uninspiring 
800 x 480 resolution, which only reaffirms the phone’s starter status in
 the Xperia line-up. The 12mm thick body and the absence of a 
front-facing camera further clears any doubts left.<br />
Upon scratching the surface (just kidding) there is a 1.2Ghz 
dual-core SnapDragon MSM8210 processor with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB 
expandable storage.<br />

Around the back is a 3 mp camera with WVGA video recording. The 
biggest attraction there is the gargantuan loudspeaker capable of 
emitting sounds as much as 100dB loud. Coupled with that are the 
shake-to-shuffle controls and a dedicated Walkman key.<br />

A bit late at following this trend, Sony has finally launched the minuscule version of its <a href="http://rexhacker.blogspot.com/2013/09/sony-outs-its-xperia-z1-brings-2-new.html" target="_blank">Z1 flagship</a>, the Z1 Compact.<br />

As you would expect from a “genuine” smaller flagship model, the Z1 
Compact has a lot in common with its older sibling. Specs start with a 
4.3″ 720p HD Triluminous display with 341 ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 
protection. It also boasts an IP58 rating from its maker, which means it
 is dust-resistant and can take a dive in water (up to 1m) and remain 
there for 30 minutes.

Hardware is packing a punch as well. You get a quad-core Qualcomm
 SnapDragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2Ghz, 2 GB RAM, Adreno 330 GPU 
and 16 GB worth expandable storage. Towards the back, the same 20.7 
megapixel camera with Flash can be found, which is also capable of doing
 1080p Full HD videos.

Sony’s Xperia Ultra Z is probably one of the best ultra-large Android smartphones in the world right now and now it is going to get even better.<br />

Google has announced that a Google Play edition of the phone is coming soon and will cost $649.<br />

The stock Android 4.4 KitKat experience may not be as feature-rich as
 Sony’s UI but will surely be much more simpler. The rest of the specs 
are virtually the same.<br />

You have a 6.4″ display with 1080p resolution and shatter-proof 
glass, 2.2Ghz SnapDragon 800 processor with 2 GB RAM, 16 GB expandable

Sony is one of the emerging Android-makers currently and is known for
 making expensive devices with high-end specs. This phone is a different
 case though. The Xperia M is a mid-range phone, as evident by its specs
 & price and is available right now for 190 pounds or around 30,000 
PKR.<br />
The phone has a 4 inch display with respectable resolution of 480 x 
854 pixels. Under the hood sits a dual-core processor, Adreno 305 GPU 
and 1 GB RAM. (That last bit is really pleasing.) The amount of storage 
is kept at 4 GB but is expandable nonetheless.<br />
The phone will also have a dual-sim version, something which we 
haven’t seen in a lot of Sony phone lately. Considering the price range 
of the phone, it’s also quite pleasing to see that this phone comes with
 NFC.<br />

also come in a plethora of colors, clearly indicating its target 
audience. It might face some competition from Chinese phones which are

The Sony Xperia Z1, mainly referred to as Honami in its pre-launching
 days has finally gone official. The camera is basically an Xperia Z at 
its heart but has a monumentally better camera.<br />
To begin with, the display on this cameraphone is of 5 inches, having
 a Full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The display is 
scratch-proof and the phone itself comes with IP58 certification, 
meaning you can even shoot underwater videos.<br />
Under the bonnet, you get a quad-core SnapDragon 800 processor 
alongside Adreno 330 graphics and 2 GB of RAM. The OS running is the 
latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.<br />
The main attraction of the package is undoubtedly the camera at the 
back. It shoots 20.7 megapixel photos and 1080p Full HD 1080p videos at 
30fps. The 1/2.3 inch Exmor RS sensor with f/2.0 aperture is 70 percent 
larger than most phones, yet keeps the phone amazingly thin at just 
8.5mm. Sony’s own G Lens technology and BIONZ image processors are used.
 There’s also a 2 megapixel Full HD camera at front.<br />
For connectivity, the phone comes with NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, microUSB 2.0, USB-OTG and 4G LTE.<br />
The battery capacity is 3000 mAh. The phone will be launched later 
this month in White, Black and Purple flavors for an unspecified price 
tag. The Z1 will have as many as 62 accessories by the end of the year.<br />

Considering the fact that Nokia won’t be making smartphones under its

One of the things which makes phones like the iPhone 5 and Galaxy S4 
great is the unmatched number of accessories that they support.<br />
The Xperia Z1 can pair with two high-quality lenses, something which most phones can only hope for.<br />
Another thing worth nothing is that these lens-style cameras come 
with their batteries, microSD/Memory Stick card slots, stereo mics, 
Image Processors and of course, the lens. They connect with the phone 
via NFC or Wi-Fi.<br />
The QX100 is the better of the pair and comes with a 1 inch Exmor RS 
Sensor, Carl Zeiss Optics, BIONZ Image Processor, up to 3.6x Optical 
Zoom and Stabilization. It takes photos of 20.2 megapixel resolution and
 does 1440 x 1080 videos at 30fps. It will cost $499.<br />
The QX10 is the more cheaper of the two. Having an 18.2 megapixel

Optical Zoom, much more than that of its elder brother. It also takes 
1440 x 1080 videos and is available for a much more easier-to-swallow

One thing which both these lenses share is their own controls, i.e. 
zoom scroller and shutter. And while these accessories are made 
primarily for the Xperia Z1, they can work with virtually any other

Sony yesterday announced the the scaled down version (in terms of size) of its Xperia Z smartphone, the Xperia ZR.<br />
Sony Xperia ZR sports a quad-core 1.5 GHz processor to seamlessly 
support all your mobile computing needs. The main highlight is its water
 resistant capability – inherited from Xperia Z – and in fact Sony is 
advertising that phone is capable of shooting underwater videos and 
pictures.<br />
Sony – as it is known for – boosts a clear HD reality display with 
Bravia Engine 2 for its Xperia ZR. Screen size is stripped down to 4.6 
inch.<br />
Other features include 13.1 MP rear facing camera with autofocus and 
LED flash. A front facing camera for video calling is also available.<br />
Xperia ZR features 2GB RAM, 8GB internal memory with microSD card slot and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.<br />

Sony is taking another shot at wearable technology by announcing the 
successor to the not-so-successful original SmartWatch, the SmartWatch 
2. The new SmartWatch 2 packs a 1.6 inch display with 220 x 176 
resolution. <br />
The new watch features an aluminium redesign and will be able to take
 phone calls, read messages and emails, use mapping services, show 
social networking updates, controlling music and more. Controlling 
presentations and using the watch to take photos through the phone will 
be possible too.
<br />
Just like the new Xperia Z Ultra, it is also water-resistant 
(IP57 certified). It comes with built-in NFC, microUSB 2.0 and Bluetooth
 3.0 for connectivity. The latter is used to connect with almost all 
devices running Android 4.0 or later. 
<br />
The battery life is quoted to last about 4 days on average usage.
 It can also work as a normal watch when not connected. According to 
Sony, there are over 200 unique apps currently available for the watch.
<br />
The SmartWatch 2 will be available from September onwards and 
will come with a large range of wristbands (along with a stainless steel
 band which comes along in package). Pricing details are unknown though.</div>
