These bilateral ties were getting only stronger but Zong remained without well deserved LDI license.<br /> Recently, Government of Pakistan principally decided to issue Zong an LDI license, however, events turned last week when <a href="http://rexhacker.blogspot.com/2013/12/sindh-high-court-imposes-hold-on.html" target="_blank">Sindh High Court imposed a hold on issuance of new LDI licenses</a>, based on the fact that Telecom Policy had expired and licensing should be done on renewed policy.<br /> SHC, yesterday, vacated the stay order and Zong was today immediately issued the LDI license.<br /> It is likely that SHC will reinstate the stay on new licenses in a day or two.</div>

Rather unsurprisingly, consumer tech grabbed three out of the top ten spots.<br /> The list, headed by Nelson Mandela and Paul Walker, features the iPhone 5s as the third most-searched query of the year. Samsung’s Galaxy S4 and PlayStation 4 were on 8th and 9th respectively.<br /> Xbox One and Nexus 5 are next in consumer technology while Malala Yousufzai is third on the list of most-searched people worldwide.<br /> The list further divides these topics into numerous categories such as Events, Movies and Athletes. Google also released an interactive globe which shows you the 5 top-trending topics for a particular city in the past or the present.<br /> Top trends of the year can be viewed for a particular country. (There are only two lists for Pakistan though, with uninspiring top-searches on either of them.)<br /> Lastly, Google has added a feature to take you back in time to see the top-trends of time as back as 2001. It’s a small addition but it does feel nice to be able to go back in the past see what was being searched in a time when we weren’t here on this place called the Internet.</div>

Still, Microsoft did gain most of them in the last few months, managing to lure the developers to bring several acclaimed apps like Instagram and Vine in the meantime.<br /> The company considered it the right time to announce its new gift cards, which will be available in 41 markets initially but will be coming in more later onward.<br /> Microsoft also announced that payment via carrier billing is now available for 51 carriers worldwide in 31 countries, with the promise to bring more sooner. The Store is available on 190 countries worldwide now.<br /> Microsoft predicts that the app gap between its platform and others will close by 2014. We’ll have to wait and see whether that happens or not.</div>

This IMEI, a 14 digit unique identifier of each and every phone, is obtained by mobile phone manufacturers from GSMA against a cost.<br /> It merits mentioning here that import of phones without IMEI is banned in various other regional markets.<br /> Phones without IMEI numbers are usually not traceable and potentially become a threat for National Security and law and order situation in the country.<br /> To further straighten the situation in the country, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority may block all such phones (without IMEI) that are operating in Pakistan.<br /> This development will hamper low-cost Chinese phones, that are notorious for having no IMEI numbers.</div>
