Pakistan Telecommunication Authority will be done with the 
preparation of Information Memorandum for 3G/4G spectrum auction by 
second week of February 2014, sources familiar with the development 
confirmed RexHacker.<br />

For those who don’t know, Information Memorandum or IM for 3G will be
 a detailed document with all the information required for mobile phone 
operators for participation in next generation spectrum auction.<br />

Spectrum pricing, criteria for participation in auction, any 
limitations, prerequisites, modalities and all other relating 
information will be added in the IM before making it public.<br />

Auction of third generation telecom licenses is planned around March 
2014, as mentioned by Anusha Rehman, Minister State for Telecom and IT, 
as well.<br />

During the while, 3G Consultants have already consulted all 
stakeholders to note their opinion, sources told RexHacker. All kind 
of efforts are being made to make sure that nothing unplanned or 
unpleasant happens before, during or after the auction.<br />

Sources said that industry’s concerns about keeping the base price 
low is being evaluated, but it can’t be ZERO and it has to be something 
greater than ZERO, said a high-level official while speaking with RexHacker.<br />

In a related news, PTA has developed a dedicated section for Spectrum
 Auction to keep all stakeholders informed about different stages of 
auction process.<br />

This newly revealed section can be accessed through PTA official web-site <a href="http://www.pta.gov.pk/" target="_blank">www.pta.gov.pk</a>.<br />

Spectrum Auction section of PTA website has contents regarding 
progress on spectrum auction. This step has been taken in view of 
providing latest online information to those internet users, who want to
 know about new developments regarding upcoming auction.<br />

They can access latest online information regarding activities, 
decisions, policies, on upcoming spectrum auction through a simple 
click.<br />

The website also carries messages of IT Minister for State Ms.Anusha 
Rahman and Chairman Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Dr.Syed

Huawei is all set to launch yet another Dual-SIM smartphone in Pakistan.<br />
After launching a couple of low end smartphones recently, this time 
company is targeting the high-end segment with its Dual-SIM Ascend G700.<br />

Huawei, while confirming Rex Hacker, said that company is launching Dual-SIM Ascend G700 in Pakistan next week. Just as we predicted, Huawei is trying to expand its reach in the Dual-SIM smartphones segment by introducing low, mid and high phones.</div>
G700 takes most of its design inspiration from Ascend Mate. It 
features a 5-inch IPS display with 720p resolution. This screen size is 
considered normal these days for smartphones, but it can also be 
categorized as a phablet — a mini version of Mate.<br />
Ascend G700 isn’t probably the finest hardware around. It is equipped
 with Quad-Core 1.2GHz processor, 2GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage 
with an option to expand memory via microSD card upto 32GB.<br />
Ascend G700 features 8-megapixel primary camera equipped with a 
single LED flash and a secondary 1.3-megapixel snapper for selfies. Both
 cameras are able to record 1080p videos as well. The phone runs on 
Android 4.2 out of the box, with Huawei’s home grown EMUI version 1.6 on
 top of it.<br />
It merits mentioning here that this phone will be exclusively sold by the distribution network of Muller & Phipps, which was appointed recently as the official distributor of Huawei in Pakistan along with Airlink Communication.<br />
There is no word on the pricing yet, but looking at the specs and 
Huawei’s previous pricing strategy this phone will be priced between 
25-30 thousand rupees.<br />

tablets and applications for children, recently announced the new 
DreamTab tablet. Designed to deliver grown-up technology but built just 
for kids, the tablet is the result of collaboration between Fuhu, 
DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc. and Intel Corporation and is designed to

The new tablets will be available starting in June 2014.<br />
