Huawei has launched its latest mobile phone in Pakistan. The Ascend 
Y511 is now available at Huawei’s retails outlets across the country.<br />

With a 4.5 inch display a full touch supporting 5 point multi touch, 
this phone is ideal for the internet savvy and on-the-go workers. Ascend
 Y511 comes in two classic colors- black and white.<br />

Huawei Ascend Y511 is a lightweight and compact Dual-SIM smartphone

The new flagship laptop by Lenovo still comes in an exotic carbon 
fiber package. It is also just 0.68″ thick and 2.8 pounds heavy. A 14″ 
display can still be found with 1600 x 900 resolution, but a touchscreen
 option with resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels can also be found. <br />

Underneath, a Core i5 or i7 processor can be found, along with 
Intel’s HD 4400 Graphics, 4 GB worth memory and a 128 GB SSD (up to 512 
GB can be brought).

Also you can get quite a few connectivity options, including 
HDMI, 2 USB 3.0 ports, mini DisplayPort and OneLink Pro. Lenovo has also
 added Voice Control, NFC and Gesture Control.

Yet, the biggest change in the new version of Lenovo’s popular 
Ultrabook comes in its keyboard. Gone are the legendary function keys 
from the top. Their place has been taken by a strip of capacitive keys, 
with options such as search, brightness, magnification, screenshot and 
more. And it is always adapting to the work you’re doing. The red 
TrackPoint is still there, and so is the button-less TrackPad.

The Yoga is one of the company’s most popular line-ups and has seen 
an addition too. The new Yoga 2 lies in the mid-budget category and will
 be available in either 11 or 13 inch models.

The smaller model comes with full-blown Windows 8.1, touchscreen 
and a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. It is powered by an Intel Atom 
Bay Trail processor with a 500 GB hard drive, 4 GB RAM and 6 hour long 
battery life. It weighs around 2.9lbs and will be available for $529.

The larger 13 inch version will come with a touch-enabled display
 with Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. This Yoga 2 will be 
getting an Intel Core i5 processor with a 500 GB hybrid drive and 8 GB 
RAM. It weighs 3.5 pounds and will come at a much more tough-to-swallow,
 $999.

However, none of them will replace the older (and better) $1100 Yoga 2 Pro as of now.</div>

Huawei has announced the successor to its popular first-gen Ascend Mate ultra-large smartphone, the Ascend Mate 2 4G. <br />

On the surface, it may look the same with its 6.1″ 720p HD display, but on the inside, the hardware does have a boost.<br />

The display also features Gorilla Glass coating. The design still 
remains quite commonplace though, with the phone being 9.5mm thick and 
202g in weight.

What isn’t bland is the spec sheet. The processor is now 
available in two versions: either a SnapDragon 400 one clocked at 1.6Ghz
 or Huawei’s own HiSilicon Cortex-A9, with a Adreno 306. Amount of RAM 
is set at 2 GB, with 16 GB worth internal storage, along with a microSD 
card slot.

At the back is a 13 megapixel with f/2.0 aperture and 1080p Full 
HD video, coupled with a 5 mp camera at the front. For connectivity, you
 have microUSB 2.0, USB-OTG, Wi-Fi, 4G LTE and Bluetooth 4.0.

The phone is powered by a 4050 mAh battery. What’s more, is that it can also charge other phones. Here are the full specs:

The tablets include Samsung’s new homescreen interface called 
Magazine UI, which includes tiles of apps and your favourite content.<br />

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Galaxy NotePRO 12.2</span></h4>
As expected, the highlight of the bunch is the NotePro 12.2, which is
 the largest member of the entire Note line-up. As you would expect, it 
has an S-Pen slot at the back with the same leathery-finish on the back.

The display comes with a WQXGA resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. 
Underneath, you’ll get either a SnapDragon 800 or Samsung’s Exynos 5 
Octa processor.
<br />
Alongside it will be Adreno 330, 3 GB RAM and 32 or 64 GB 
expandable storage. Towards the back is an 8 megapixel camera with Full 
HD video capture at either 60fps or 30fps, depending on the version.
<br />
Connectivity options include IR Blaster, microUSB 3.0, Wi-Fi 
802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0, with a 4G version being in the pipeline as 
well. The OS running is Android 4.4 KitKat.<br />

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Galaxy TabPRO 12.2, 10.1, 8.4</span></h4>
The remaining three tablets, the Galaxy TabPROs 12.2, 10.1 and 8.4 
are all almost entirely the same, with the major difference amongst them
 being the varying screen sizes.

The largest of the lot, the Galaxy TabPRO 12.2 features 
specifications completely similar to the NotePRO 12.2, with a 12.2″ 
WQXGA resolution, SnapDragon 800/Exynos Octa 5 processor, 3 GB RAM, 
32/64 GB expandable storage and an 8 megapixel rear-camera. There’s no 
S-Pen, of course.

The TabPRO 10.1 features a substantially smaller display, again 
with WQXGA, but this time with 2 GB RAM, 16/32 GB storage and 8220 mAh 
battery.
<br />
The TabPRO 8.4 also retains the maddeningly high resolution but 
there’s only one choice as for the processor here, the SnapDragon 800 
one. The amount of battery storage is also smaller, at 4800 mAh.

The tablets  will be released in the first quarter of 2014. Pricing isn’t announced for either of them yet.</div>

The popular website MacRumors's Forum was compromised in last November using an alleged zero day exploit, which is based on <span class="GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark" id="b2fc3a4d-d8dc-4578-9cfc-6e926483d3c1">vBulletin</span>, a famous forum software. The openSUSE Forum is also based upon <i><span class="GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark" id="47f596c0-e166-4cba-8614-1da727c6734f">vBulletin</span>.</i></div>

Whereas,</span> the latest patched <span class="GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark" id="f2d8f156-ba3a-4340-9dac-4e264b084ec0">vBulletin</span> 5.0.5 is available. Possibly, Hacker exploits same or another known <span class="GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark" id="ca9ecedd-6515-4c66-8b2f-dadd3d54ca55">vBulletin</span> version 4.2.1 vulnerability to access the website's administrative panel.</div>

<b>Update (7:00 PM Tuesday, January 7, 2014 GMT):</b> The Pakistani Hacker confirmed is that has uploaded a PHP shell on the forum server using his own Private <span class="GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark" id="62a9c552-6ccd-419c-8965-89a19cfdd134"><span class="GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark" id="a8bba46e-c694-40e2-bd25-d6583f01da66">vBulletin's</span></span> zero-day exploit, that allows him to browse, read or write/overwrite any file on the Forum server without root privileges.<br />

 5.0.5 latest version is also vulnerable to his zero-day exploit and 
there is no patch yet available to fix it. He noticed that after our 
news report, the Server administrator has removed the defaced page, but

account to prove the database hack. We have partially blur the 
screenshot before sharing, to keep sensitive data secure, as shown

Update (4:00 AM Wednesday, January 8, 2014 GMT): In a blog post, 
openSUSE team confirmed that their website and database have been 
hacked, but users' passwords are not compromised.

A cracker managed to exploit a vulnerability in the forum software 
which made it possible to upload files and gave access to the forum 
database.

The team explained, they are using single-sign-on system (Access Manager
 from NetIQ) that manage the real passwords.

Credentials for your openSUSE login are not saved in our application
 databases as we use a single-sign-on system (Access Manager from NetIQ)
 for all our services. This is a completely separate system and it has 
not been compromised by this crack. What the cracker reported as 
compromised passwords where indeed random, automatically set strings 
that are in no way connected to your real password.</div>

 Pakistan Telecommunication Authority – in a historic decision today –
 suspended PTCL’s WLL licenses in five regions for using extra radio 
frequency spectrum than it was allocated.<br />

In a directive, produced below, PTA said that PTCL’s WLL license for 
Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi and Multan is suspended for not 
complying with authority’s earlier directive in which it had asked the 
operator to free up the additional spectrum that it was illegally using.<br />

PTCL offers EVO / Nitro wireless broadband services and Vfone on top of its WLL license.<br />

If implemented, all EVO, Nitro and Vfone services will go offline in these five regions.<br />

Just in case if you don’t know, Pakistan is divided into 14 telecom 
regions, out of which these five regions comprise of over 70 percent of 
telecom population of the country.<br />

PTA  — just after few hours of license suspension – has restored 
suspended license after PTCL paid the fine of Rs. 82.496 million, 
moments ago.<br />

A high level PTA official confirmed RexHacker that PTCL has paid 
the fine and suspension of its WLL license is subsequently reverted.<br />
PTA said that it has also asked FAB to keep a check on spectrum usage
 to make sure that PTCL has also freed up the extra radio frequency 
spectrum that it was illegally using.<br />

PTA official, further explaining the development, said that the fine 
of Rs. 82.496 million was imposed for the spectrum loss till 2011, and 
the fine money may get revised as matter was resolved today (in 2014).<br />

PTA’s Directive also noted to all LL, LDI and mobile phone operators 
to terminate telecommunication facilities extended to PTCL in these five
 regions.<br />

It maybe recalled that ISPAK had approached PTA in 2011 for alleged 
extra usage of spectrum by PTCL for its wireless broadband services. <br />

PTA, after investigations and field monitoring reports of FAB, concluded in its Determination dated 16.09.2011 that PTCL has been using extra wireless spectrum illegally for its EVO services and hence a penalty of Rs. 82.496 million was imposed on PTCL with directions to stop using extra spectrum. <br />

PTCL challenged that Determination in Islamabad High Court (IHC) 
maintaining that PTA’s decision is unjust. However, IHC – later on — 
dismissed PTCL’s appeal against PTA’s Determination in its order dated 
03.12.2013. <br />

<a href="http://rexhacker.blogspot.com/2014/01/pta-fine-ptcl-approaches-supreme-court.html" target="_blank">PTCL has now approached Supreme Court</a> challenging the PTA’s directive. However, before any decision in the Supreme Court, PTA today suspended its WLL licenses.</div>
