The phone made by a small group of ex-Nokia employees (their company is also called Jolla) has been inspired by the great Nokia N9, and its abandoned Meego OS taken by the team to make Sailfish OS which runs on the Jolla.<br /> One of the biggest benefits which this Linux-based OS will bring will be Android app capability. So while it is new, the OS won’t face any lack of apps. How well they’ll run is another point however.<br /> As for the hardware, it comes with a 4.5 inch Estrade Display with qHD resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. Under the hood, it will boast a 1.4Ghz Qualcomm SnapDragon processor with 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB worth internal storage which will be expandable.<br /> At the back sits an 8 megapixel camera with an LED Flash. At the front is also a 2 megapixel camera. A 2100 mAh battery will power up the Jolla.<br /> Perhaps one of the team’s biggest achievement is the tight integration between the software and the hardware. The phone’s backplate comes in four different colours (red, orange, light blue and white). As soon as any of those are changed, the software of the phone updates itself with that particular color scheme. For example, if you’ve installed a red backplate on the back of your Jolla, the OS will turn into red, or shades of red too.<br /> This peculiar feature prompted this small team of engineers to run an extensive online campaign termed “I am the other half”. And of course, the OS itself is gesture-based, given the inspiration and the history (that is, the N9 and Meego.)<br /> When it will hit the markets at the end of the year, it will cost around 400 Euros or around 60,000 PKR. That’s a lot of money of course but fans of Meego should definitely give it a go if they feel adventurous (or if they want to stand out from the usual crowd of iPhones, Galaxies and Lumias.)</div>

HP Envy 17 is in fact, just a regular Envy 17 laptop with this technology.<br /> HP Envy 17 comes with an Intel Core i5/i7 processors, AMD Radeon HD 7750M/7850M Graphics, 6 GB RAM and 750 HDD storage. And as the name indicates, it comes with a 17 inch touchscreen display and with up to Full HD resolution.<br /> Just in case if you are unfamiliar, leap motion — not a very new technology — helps you to navigate through various apps and software by just moving your hands.<br /> The small sensor, mounted below the keyboard, uses two cameras and three infrared LEDs to track the movement of any object. You can simply move your hands to scroll the images or to forward a movie. Play games just by gestures instead of a controller.<br /> Users can even hold a pencil, and the system is accurate enough to track fingers.<br /> Leap motion is set to do further wonders in the coming days.<br /> The Leap Motion, in HP Envy 17, can toggled on or off and when turned on, you can use your game or swipe through Windows 8 using hand gestures.<br /> There are currently around 100 applications making full use of the technology. This quarter, the company is expecting an operating loss of as much as 995 million dollars.<br /> During this time, it shipped around 3.7 million smartphones and had revenues of $1.6 billion. The exact number of BlackBerry 10 OS smartphones sold wasn’t given. To cut the operating expenditures by half, it will lay off 4500 employees in the coming months, leaving just 7000 positions in the company.<br /> BlackBerry will also take a pre-tax charge of somewhere between $930 million to $960 million, mainly because of the flagship Z10′s inability to move along.<br /> The company will reduce the current device line-up to just four smartphones (two high-end, two entry-level) in the future. The Z10 smartphone will be demoted to the low-end category with its price aggressively slashed (a place where it should’ve been initially) after the arrival of the newly-announced Blackberry Z30.<br /> The future phones will be aimed  towards the “enterprise and consumers” and not the mainstream customers.<br /> “We are implementing the difficult,” said the CEO Thorsten Heins, “but necessary operational changes announced today to address our position in a maturing and more competitive industry, and to drive the company toward profitability.”<br /> While a re-birth of BlackBerry is not off the cards, it will be very difficult for it to regain that supreme spot on the smartphone industry which it once held.</div>
