It will also support input through a stylus. The OS running is stock Android of unknown version.<br /> Under the hood, you get a 1 GB RAM with 16 GB expandable storage. The quad-core Tegra 4 processor under the hood is followed by Nvidia’s own 72-core GeForce Graphics.<br /> Around the back is the 5 megapixel camera with HDR, followed by a 0.3 mp camera at the front. PTA, however, was unclear if it can force other operators to comply with the orders.</div>

The growth in cellular mobile sector which mostly started during the Musharraf regime has slowed down since 2008. Cellular Mobile services which are globally considered as a driver and economic growth are projected as the main facilitators behind all the terrorist activities in Pakistan.<br /> An environment has been created wherein it has been portrayed that all terrorist activities have been planned and co-ordinated through cellular mobile phones. It has been portrayed that today there is no check and balance on the issuance of SIMs and anybody can get SIM on anybody’s name.<br /> The law enforcement agencies have also quoted that today more than 4.5 Million unverified SIMs are available in the market which are mostly used in the terrorist activities, however despite repeated requests no source of this information has been shared.<br /> It is very important to set the records straight that it is the responsibility of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority and the Government of Pakistan to share the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for issuance of SIMs. Historically pre-activated SIMs were sold in the market. However in 2007 as per the directions of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority the transition was made from activated to inactive SIMs which were activated subsequent to NADRA verification. The process was changed once again in 2009 as per the directions of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority when 789 system was deployed. As part of this system all the SIMs were activated after NADRA verification based on the details available at the CNIC of the subscriber and additional secret questions including mother maiden name and the place of birth.<br /> This was assumed to be a fool proof system and cellular mobile companies invested billions of Rs. in this system. However during the meeting with the CEO’s of cellular mobile companies held on 6^th September 2013 under the chairmanship of Secretary Interior, the interior ministry officers informed the participants that the NADRA data including the secret questions is available in the market by paying mere Rs.200 thus rendering the 789 based verification ineffective.<br /> Thus the billions of rupees spent by the cellular mobile companies on the deployment of 789 system have gone down the drain only due to security breach at the NADRA end. Now the Government of Pakistan has proposed biometric based system for the verification of subscriber identity and expects cellular mobile companies to again invest billions of rupees in this verification system.<br /> However the biometric based verification system has not been used anywhere in the world for SIM issuance purpose. The biggest nightmare for the cellular mobile companies which the Government of Pakistan has failed to realize and foresee is that while previously NADRA database was selling, now it is apprehended  that biometrics will also be available in the market which can be used for all sorts of criminal activities and property transfers.<br /> It is high time for the government to review the worsening situation of the telecom sector. The profitability of the cellular mobile business has evaporated during the last few years. The ARPUs have shrunk while the operating costs have increased due to high impact of inflation in fuel, HR, government NOC’s and operations and maintenance costs.<br /> Although the Cellular Mobile Policy recognizes the Right of Way for cellular mobile network deployment, however today there is no unified policy for Right of Way and different Municipal, Cantonment and Defence Housing Authorities are charging NOC fees as per their will in complete disregard of the approved laws of the land. Even in these tough times when most of the operators are incurring serious losses, instead of get any subsidy from Government of Pakistan, the licensees are subject to hefty license and regulatory fees.<br /> The situation demands intervention by nothing less than the Honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan. The Honorable Prime Minister is holding series of meetings on the power issues, it is very critical that he must spare some time and invite the CEO’s of all cellular mobile companies to listen to their point of view.<br /> These are all multinational companies who have invested billions of rupees in their telecom infrastructure and deserve some respect from the government authorities. Unfortunately we have left these strategic investors at discretion of the <i>baboos</i>sitting at the helm of affairs.<br /> Apparently the companies have also started to lose their patience which was first witnessed when CEO Telenor publically informed that it would be very difficult to commit investment in the upcoming 3G auction given the adverse regulatory and tax regime.  The Government needs to take immediate measures to improve the confidence of the strategic investors in telecom sector, otherwise any negative sentiment in this sector will have long lasting and far reaching consequences on the overall economy of Pakistan.<br /> <i>Author is a Telecom expert and works with a mobile phone company.</i></div>

The most anticipated game of the year, GTA V has finally been released and as you could’ve expected, is larger, bigger and better than its predecessors.<br /> The hype of GTA V is only natural. While the last major console iteration, GTA IV was itself phenomenal, the speculations for the next game started not long after. So to do its fans justice and remain on the cutting-edge, Rockstar Games made fundamental changes to the gameplay and the entire world itself.<br /> Simply put it like this: GTA V is the result of the merging of Max Payne III, Red Dead Redemption and GTA: San Andreas and is still bigger than all of them combined. This is a result of 4 years of development and the result is evident right from the moment you jump into the game, in the form of 3 playable characters.<br /> <h4> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Characters</span></h4> For the first time in the series, Rockstar gives you the ability to play as not one, but three different characters. The three guys called Michael, Trevor and Franklin are all totally different in personality & character and go on in their daily lives if you’re not on a mission or playing as the remaining two.<br /> Michael (who was the first guy to be unveiled, narrating the first GTA V trailer) is a former bank robber running out of money and turning towards crime again, Trevor is a psychopath who suffers from drug addiction while Franklin is a car dealer with lavish lifestyle. Each of the characters come with their own unique abilities which aren’t found on the other two.<br /> <h4> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Gameplay</span></h4> Gameplay elements from other Rockstar games such as Read Dead and Max Payne have been incorporated into GTA V. For the first time ever, Rockstar introduces animals into the game. New vehicles have made an entrance including airplanes (which were absent in GTA IV) and submarines.<br /> Talking of submarines, the ocean is richer than ever, including even treasures and sharks.<br /> Since it is supposed to be a real-world, the amount of activities you can engage yourself into is just huge: yoga, tennis, golf, scuba-diving, hiking, base-jumping, stock market, jet-skiing, internet, hunting, cycling and so on. Celebrities, Politicians and other characters in the game can be interacted with. The game is also full of modifications. Vehicles can be modified and from tattoos to haircuts and clothes, the physical appearance of your character can be changed. Even weapons are customizable!<br /> From a sports car to a barren home in the wild, a large no. of things can be brought. Music also plays a huge role in the game and in GTA V, a lot of new radio stations have been added.<br /> <h4> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Game World</span></h4> In GTA V, the series goes back into the Los Santos world of GTA: San Andreas. It isn’t a copy of that old city though as despite some similarity between the two worlds, the newer one is re-made completely from scratch. It’s also several times bigger than the previous one and thanks to newer technologies used, you’ll be able to see the entire city from any location, unlike the 1 kilometer area which rendered in GTA IV.<br /> It’s also immediately accessible from the start. (No 6-star wanted level with police on your tail upon entering the other end of the city this time.) The city is not only restricted to prosperous mansions and tall skyscrapers only, but also includes village life and more modest locations. Los Santos is based on current-day Los Angeles and the entire city was carefully explored during the development of the game in person.<br /> <h4> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Controversial Nature</span></h4> Almost every GTA game has had a brush with controversy and GTA V won’t be an exception either. The series’ intense violent nature has result in it being given a “Mature” rating so you probably shouldn’t be giving this game to a teenager for playing.<br /> <h4> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Grand Theft Auto Online</span></h4> Grand Theft Auto Online is essentially the multiplayer version of GTA V which will be accessible with every copy of the game but is treated as a different game altogether by Rockstar. It will have a continually growing world as more content will be added later onwards.<br /> In GTAO, you make your own character, then team up with your friends to do stuff in the Los Santos world. Together, you can go and rob a bank, play golf or tennis or simply kill each other. What’s more is that it will be free.<br /> Sales And Availability Online<br /> GTA V is available for PS3 and Xbox 360 right now but rumors of a PS4 and a PC version are circulating around too. The game requires a mandatory installation in the hard-drive in order to be playable.<br /> Right now, you can pre-order the game in a lot of online stores including <a href="http://homeshopping.pk/products/GTA-5-PS3-in-Pakistan.html">homeshopping.pk</a> (for Rs. 7,490, yes we know that’s a lot). The latest phone in the chain is the Nokia 108 which will also come with a dual-sim version of the phone.<br /> Specs-wise the phone is not much different from most other devices of its class. Upfront is the 1.8 inch LCD display with 160 x 128 resolution. Beneath it are the 5-point navigation keys and the 12 button keypad. An addition is the VGA camera on the back which the Nokia says is enough for first-time camera phone buyers.<br /> Storage is expandable via a microSD card slot. A 950 mAh battery with over a month worth standby time and about 14 hours talk-time is completes the package. And as is the case with phones like these, the 108 is quite compact too, weighing in at just 70 grams.<br /> An optional dual-sim version of the phone will be there at launch. As for the software, the phone (most-probably) comes with Symbian S40, and has music player and FM Radio applications.<br /> The 108 and the dual-sim version will cost around $29 at launch which is just about as cheap as you can expect from Nokia. They’ll arrive in Q4 of this year. While they won’t be replacing your smartphone, it’s sometimes really helpful to help to have a secondary phone with extra-long standby time.
