After which police high ups and administration were ordered immediate inquiry into the matter.<br /> Police high-ups, after investigation, established that cases implicating WorldCall officials are in fact malicious and unfounded, hence directed immediate cancellation of FIRs, said the official statement issued by WorldCall.<br /> The Lahore High was also moved and was informed of cancelation of FIRs, said the statement.<br /> Despite the fact that everything has settled down, the incident has set a horrible precedent for telecom businesses in the country.<br /> If cases registered against WorldCall were fake then responsible police officials should be punished instead of just withdrawing the case. If not the case, then why the FIRs were cancelled after Chief Minister’s intervention. The settlement has only worsen the situation with more confusion for everyone.</div>

Now, as a much different company than it used to be, it has laid out its goals for the future.<br /> The goal, as described by founder and CEO Michael Dell was to improve fields of enterprise, expanding sales capacity, emerging markets, PC and tablets and “investments to enhance the customer experience”.<br /> Smartphones aren’t among them.<br /> “We’re not getting in the mobile phone business,” Michael Dell said. “It’s really about changing our focus from a quarterly focus to a longer term.” Still, tablets, a vast market not much different from smartphones is not going anywhere out of the scenario.<br /> “Dell will participate in tablets and all sorts of client devices. Our main business is helping our customers secure, protect their data and access it from any device they want to.”<br /> And while Dell’s experience in the computer market is unsurpassed by most, it has fared at modestly at best in other consumer markets, including tablets.<br /> The Streak tablets, Venue phones and other Windows Mobile devices are already long forgotten and they did play a role in the departure of Dell as a public company.<br /> This must change if the company has to emerge as a global leader again, in the same way as it was in the early 2000s.</div>

It was also contended that the chief executive officers (CEOs) of the concerned telecom companies be charged as abettors in all criminal incidents wherein non-registered SIMS were used for commission of offence.<br /> While accepting the petition for hearing, Chief Justice (CJ) Islamabad High Court (IHC) Justice Muhammad Anwar Kasi issued notices to the secretary ministry of information technology and Telecommunication, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), ministry of interior through its secretary, chief executives of the all telecommunication companies and inspector general Islamabad police seeking their reply over the concerns raised by the petitioner.<br /> IHC CJ directed the respondents to submit reply within 10 days time.</div>
