Hum TV Gets Hacked for Allegedly Spreading Vulgarity

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
Hum TV, country’s top entertainment TV channel, was last night hacked
 as a protest against the vulgarity it is alleged to spread in the 
society.<br />
This hacking incident was followed by a campaign run on social media 
against vulgarity and Hum TV. The campaign had questioned the ethical 
standards of drama channels in general and Hum TV in specific. Along 
with there went a controversial and quite explicit clip from Hum TV 
drama viral on Facebook.<br />
Hackers, who are apparently from Pakistan, clearly mentioned: “We Dont Want Vulgarity In Pakistan”.<br />
Along with the message, the hackers also put up dozens of screens of 
various Hum TV dramas and shows with fairly bold scenes for Pakistani 
standards.<br />
The Hackers got access to both of the Hum TV’s websites that are<br />

There are, quite literally, dozens of organizations and entities who 
have held their reservations over Facebook and its security since a long
 time and now it’s clear that even the company’s CEO isn’t completely 
safe.

Yesterday, a Palestinian hacker by the name of <a href="https://www.facebook.com/khalil.iz.sh" target="_blank">Khalil Shreateh</a>
 found a vulnerability in the social network’s coding and capitalized on
 it by writing a post on Mark Zuckerberg’s wall, disguised as Mark 
Zuckerberg.<br />
The hacker had earlier reported the bug to the Facebook authorities 
twice,  but after he got a reply telling him that “I’m sorry this is not
 a bug”, he lost patience and decided to show the world that it was.<br />
Khalil had discovered that with some kind of trick anyone could post 
onto anyone’s wall, even if target wall isn’t in the friend list of the 
user.<br />
Here’s the post from Khalil detailing the complete information on the bug and incidents revolving around it.<br />
According to Facebook regulations, hackers who inform the company 
about existing bugs are awarded $500 apiece, at least with no cap on 
maximum reward.<br />
Not in this case. Facebook declined to reward him on finding such a 
huge error and instead deactivated his Facebook account, simply because 
the hacker had violated the site’s rules and regulations of not 
intruding on someone else’s timeline. Eventually, they did activate his 
account it but not without hitches.<br />
As far as the relationship between developers and Facebook goes, it 
won’t be fair to blame the latter totally for what happened in this case
 as they’ve already rewarded around $1 million to developers over the 
past couple of years just for reporting bugs. What happened here won’t 
be doing any good to its botched image though.</div>

Clearly the internet audience from Pakistan is searching for songs, 
songs, songs and Indian Songs. These trends highlight that YouTube was a

This reveals the general behaviour and taste of Pakistani users, who 
have access to Internet but are unable to make its productive use.<br />
Songs, movies and other recreational activities is what we tend to do
 a lot over internet. Authorities concerned, internet activists, USF, 
PASHA, PSEB, PTA and others should take necessary measures to increase 
internet awareness in the country.<br />
Its about time that we should think beyond enabling the population 
and should start working on effective and positive usage of Internet.</div>

Smartphone displays have taken pretty revolutionary strides in the 
last 3 years since the iPhone 4 came along with its amazing Retina 
display and this battle is far from over.<br />
LG, already renowned for developing and incorporating groundbreaking 
technology in their products, including the first even dual-core phone 
and flexible displays has got another jewel in its crown.<br />
The company has shown off the first ever “Quad HD” LCD display panel 
for smartphones. The panel comes with resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, 
meaning a pixel density of 538ppi and 430 nits of brightness. That’s 
four times the number of pixels in a 720p HD display, hence this name. 
It’s also just 1.21mm thick.<br />
But even if they manage to churn out a phone with this tech, you’ll 
hardly make full use of it. Everyone knows that unless you have a 
super-large phone, and I really mean a super-large phone with a display 
much bigger than a phablet, this display is only great for the 
number-lovers. Anything over 300ppi is already quite useless.<br />
So while sharp displays like these are a big need in other fronts of 
consumer electronics including monitors and televisions, they’re hardly 
something to crave for smartphones.</div>

Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO and founder of Facebook has immersed himself
 in a new campaign. This project, however, might prove to be much harder
 than any other one he has faced up till now. He has embarked on a 
mission to bring the internet to the remaining 2/3rd population of the 
world who aren’t connected.<br />
And Zuckerberg aims to get these remaining 5 billion people to internet through their phones (read smartphones).<br />
His partners include Nokia, Samsung, Qualcomm, Ericsson, MediaTek, 
Opera and of course, Facebook. The project aims in three basic goals: 
Accessibility, i.e. to bring the services of the cell phone carriers and
 manufacturers to a wider audience through more accessible plans and 
business models; affordability, to make these services cheaper; and 
efficiency, to lower the amount of bandwidth being used by improving the
 infrastructure.<br />

together a global partnership that will work to overcome these 
challenges, including making internet access available to those who 
cannot currently afford it.” Mark Zuckerberg</blockquote>
Other companies’ leaders wholeheartedly applauded this venture. Nokia
 CEO Stephen Elop called the Universal Internet Access “the next great 
industrial revolution.” Samsung CEO also gave it a thumbs up saying it’s
 got a huge potential.<br />
Zuckerberg further detailed the concept in a document in which, he described the project as one of the most challenging of this generation.<br />
“I’m focused on this because I believe it is one of the greatest 
challenges of our generation,” he said, “The unfair economic reality is 
that those already on Facebook have way more money than the rest of the 
world combined, so it may not actually be proﬁtable for us to serve the 
next few billion people for a very long time, if ever. But we believe 
everyone deserves to be connected.”<br />
Whether this project will be fruitful or not is questionable but it 
certainly is huge. Even if its only partially successful, lives of 
millions of people might get changed.</div>
