LG has announced a new Android upper-midrange smartphone in the 
Optimus series. The Optimus L9 II has a 4.7 inch HD display and a 
dual-core processor under the hood.<br />
At the back, it has an 8 megapixel camera with Full HD video. For 
connectivity, it uses Bluetooth 3.0, microUSB 2.0, NFC, IR Blaster, 
Wi-Fi and 3G.<br />
On the software side, it runs on customized Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Here are the full specs:<br />

Samsung yesterday announced the Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, a tablet 
built specifically for kids with the educational tools and safety 
features parents want.<br />
“It’s no secret that kids are using technology more than ever 
before,” said JK Shin, CEO and Head of IT & Mobile Communication at 
Samsung Electronics. “We saw an opportunity to create a device just for 
kids that provides them with an intuitive, fun and kid-friendly user 
experience filled with rich, interactive and educational content that 
parents will love.”<br />
Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids comes pre-loaded with top ranked kid’s apps
 and brand new Kid’s Store aimed at driving the educational 
possibilities of technology for kids. Pre-loaded content includes 
educational, games, entertainment and e-book apps. The tablet also 
offers parents the ability to select the apps they want their kids to 
have access to using the Application Manager.<br />
Developed with kids’ best interests at the forefront, Samsung GALAXY 
Tab 3 Kids also includes a Time Management feature that allows parents 
to set specific time periods for use. When the designated use time is 
up, a password protected lock screen appears, requiring a parent or 
adult to enter the password to unlock the device. This tool will help 
parents ensure the time their children spend on smart devices is 
balanced.<br />
With 1.2GHz dual processor, 1GB RAM, 3 megapixel front-facing camera 
and 1.3 megapixel rear-facing camera, Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids has the 
power and performance you would expect from a Samsung GALAXY tablet,

Confirming
 the rumours circulating around the web for a long time, Samsung has 
revealed that it will out its next smartwatch in its Unpacked 2 event 
scheduled for the 4th of September.<br />
The company will also launch its Note III smartphone there.<br />
While it won’t be the first time that Samsung will be launching such a
 device, the new product is by far the most anticipated. Putting life to
 all the hopes, Samsung Mobile executive, Lee Young-Hee has herself 
confirmed the so-called Galaxy Gear smartwatch in an interview to Korean
 times. She also confirmed that the display of the watch won’t be 
flexible.<br />
“We have intellectual properties for patents related to the next 
wearable devices”, she says. Those are the concepts for future 
products”. Here she might’ve also hinted that it won’t be cheap either.<br />
Right now, most of the smartwatches available pair tightly with your 
phone for content integration and syncing. It will be interesting 
whether Samsung will be able to achieve more in this category without 
sacrificing on the user interface and efficiency.</div>

Sony is one of the emerging Android-makers currently and is known for
 making expensive devices with high-end specs. This phone is a different
 case though. The Xperia M is a mid-range phone, as evident by its specs
 & price and is available right now for 190 pounds or around 30,000 
PKR.<br />
The phone has a 4 inch display with respectable resolution of 480 x 
854 pixels. Under the hood sits a dual-core processor, Adreno 305 GPU 
and 1 GB RAM. (That last bit is really pleasing.) The amount of storage 
is kept at 4 GB but is expandable nonetheless.<br />
The phone will also have a dual-sim version, something which we 
haven’t seen in a lot of Sony phone lately. Considering the price range 
of the phone, it’s also quite pleasing to see that this phone comes with
 NFC.<br />

As is the norm in the phones of this price range, the Xperia M will 
also come in a plethora of colors, clearly indicating its target 
audience. It might face some competition from Chinese phones which are 
priced attractively but some features in this particular phone won’t be 
available in a lot of them.</div>

Most of the mobile phone manufacturers nowadays neglect the design 
front of their cheaper models which is, of course, expected. Nokia has 
been guilty of doing that too but not with the new Nokia 515.<br />
Nokia 515 is possibly the best-looking featurephone and doesn’t arrive exactly cheap either.<br />
The design of the Nokia 515 is quite sleek and seems to have taken 
cues from both the Lumias and the HTC One. It is made of a single piece 
of sandblasted and anodised aluminium. Like the other cheap Nokia 
phones, it is also a bit boxy. The display is slightly curved and 
astonishingly, features Gorilla Glass 2. It isn’t even a touchscreen.<br />
On the front, you have a 2.4 inch QVGA display and a numeric 
keyboard. Around the back though, you have a 5 megapixel camera with LED
 Flash.<br />
The sides incorporates volume keys.<br />
There will be a dual-sim version of the 515 too. The battery life is quoted at 38 days worth standby.<br />
And then lastly, the price. The phone will be available in Q3 of 2013
 for a tough-to-swallow price-tag of $150. For that, you can even get a 
dual-core smartphone nowadays which means that Nokia might face a tough 
time selling this phone. Still, given the number of people who aren’t in
 the smartphone circle yet, the 515 may not be failure after all.<br />

As the announcement of the second iteration of iPad Mini draws near, 
the tablet-makers have all started to throw their best efforts into the 
competition. The LG G Pad 8.3 is the latest effort from LG and borrows 
some design knowledge from the company’s latest G2 flagship.<br />
The tablet offers an 8.3 inch display upfront, with a superb 
resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels meaning pixel density of 273ppi. The G 
Pad 8.3 is just 8.33mm thick and 338g heavy (what coincidence!).<br />
Under the hood, you get a 1.7Ghz quad-core SnapDragon 600 processor 
with 2 GB RAM. The amount of storage is set at 16 GB of expandable 
storage.<br />
Around the back, sits a 5 megapixel camera. There’s also a 1.3 
megapixel camera on the front. There’s a 4600 mAh battery to power the 
tablet up which might dazzle when looked upon initially, but is lesser 
than the norm.<br />
The OS running on the tablet is Android 4.2.2, which as you would 
expect, is customized. It comes with its own bag of software tricks. 
QPair pairs the tablet with your phone and allows you to takes phone 
calls and messages directly on it. QSlide allows 3 apps to run onscreen 
at once. KnockON turns the tablet on and off by double-tapping.<br />
