Indian
 Intelligence Agency has alleged that ISI, Pakistan’s secret service, 
has successfully penetrated and snooped Indian state-owned Bharat 
Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) and also installed spyware in the telco’s 
system to take control of its entire system, say various <a href="http://www.livemint.com/Industry/ZoQivrvfFjfOJV74NGaW8K/Did-Pakistans-ISI-penetrate-BSNLs-systems.html" target="_blank">Indian publishers</a>.<br />
Indian secret agency believes that someone from Pakistan posing as 
Major Vijay from Indian Army headquarters had called up a BSNL employee 
in February this year, and followed it up by email communication with 
the staffer to obtain critical information.<br />
The home ministry is of the view that this email communication led to
 the ISI successfully installing malware on BSNL’s networks, and this 
may have contaminated the telco’s computer systems and compromised the 
integrity and security of the system.<br />
According to the report, Indian home ministry is fearing that the 
spyware might have enabled ISI to identify and access communication 
links of sensitive organizations.<br />
Furthermore, the report suggests that the same malware might have 
given Pakistan the ability to remotely monitor BSNL’s networks and 
operations, providing the ISI with the capability of disabling critical 
networks. <br />

Report – which is based on documents released by Indian secret agency – wasn’t confirmed independently by the publisher.<br />
Report said that ISI operative used VoIP spoofing to change the number when he called BSNL employee.<br />
However, it doesn’t mention if IP address of the email communication of alleged Pakistani operative was spoofed as well or not.</div>

Moreover, report doesn’t clarify that why BSNL employee didn’t notify
 his line manager before giving out sensitive information – that could 
give away controlling rights of the entire telco – to an unknown army 
officer, with whom he/she was communicating for the first time.<br />
This is not the first time that Indians have alleged Pakistan and its ISI just to spoil the names and to cover its own misdeeds.<br />
It will be interesting to mention here that Indian army and secret agencies earlier this year <a href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-news-from-elsewhere-23455128" target="_blank">mistook two planets</a>
 for Chinese spy drones.  Indian Army, reportedly, spent six months 
watching “Chinese spy drones” violating its air space, only to find out 
they were actually Jupiter and Venus.</div>

A Pakistani hacker, who wants to be called as H4$N4!N H4XOR, claims 
to have gained access of Aaj.TV – the official website of Aaj TV – and 
has leaked the entire website data online, including user names, 
passwords, email addresses and other private and sensitive data of the 
website.<br />
Hacker in a communication with RexHacker said that website was 
intentionally not defaced, instead just a warning email was sent to the 
webmaster, and leaked data was presented to him as a proof.<br />
Same hacker had previously defaced 8XM
 and Geo.TV. He contends that Pakistani webmasters are too lame with the
 security and these attempts should be translated as warnings to 
ultimately secure Pakistani cyber space. He urged Pakistani websites to 
be more securer.<br />
On other hands, the webmasters criticize hackers for penetrating into
 their websites without authorization and approval. They term it 
criminal activity.<br />
Hacker provided RexHacker with login information for one of Aaj 
TV’s recruitment portal (and of course the entire leaked data), a

 – yesterday got hacked, when a hacker called Xploiter hacked the 
website and leaked the databases of the website and posted credentials 
online.
<br />
Hacker said that it took him just 17 minutes to hack into the website.<br />
The section that handles the online banking or Internet Banking of Habib Bank customers was not impacted with the hack.<br />
No customer data was compromised or leaked during the incident.<br />
14 databases belonging to the official website of Habib Bank – 
relating to the general information and front end of the website – were 
posted online with the names and tables.<br />
While explaining the flaw in bank’s website, the hacker posted following in the leaked file:<br />

A list of login credentials were also posted in the online document, 
containing username, plain password and emails. Its strange that a bank 
stores password in plain language, revealing the security level of the 
bank.<br />

Luckily, the Internet Banking section or customers’ data was not 
compromised, but considering the hack, it is high-time for the banks to

After HBL, Allied Bank Gets Hacked

After hacking and leaking database information of Habib Bank Limited, the same hacker has now hacked and defaced Allied Bank Limited, one of the largest Pakistani bank.<br />
It is still unclear if the financial information of customers was 
breached or not, however, the front-end of the Allied Bank’s website was
 pretty much hacked and defaced.<br />
Late night when users opened abl.com – bank’s official web address – 
they were greeted with a defaced page (also shown below) displaying a 
message by Xploiter – the same hacker who had penetrated into HBL’s

MCB Targeted by Hackers, Becomes Third Defaced Bank in One Week

It appears that Pakistan hackers are on fire, and they have decided 
not to leave any bank. This time it is Muslim Commercial Bank or MCB.<br />
With apparent slogan of defacing Banking websites, hackers claim to 
be with the aim of securing Pakistani cyber space. They maintain that 
banks were previously warned about all the security flaws but since 
banks’ staff don’t seem to be serious with the warnings and hence 
hackers have no point but to deface their websites.<br />
Tonight, an inner page of Muslim Commercial Bank was defaced by two 
hackers who want to be called as Dr.Freak and Xploiter. We suspect – due
 to the names used – that this is the same group who had recently 
carried out defacements of HBL and ABL.<br />
However, the tone and feel of the message left on MCB’s defaced page doesn’t resemble with previous messages.<br />
It maybe recalled that earlier this week, official websites of Habib Bank and Allied Bank were hacked and defaced. Earlier on, Soneri Bank and Burj Bank were also attacked and defaced by hackers.<br />
