Huawei today announced a new mid-range phone at the MWC. The Huawei 
Ascend G6 comes with a 4.5″ display, a quad-core processor and an 8 
megapixel main-camera.<br />

Huawei Ascend G6 display comes with qHD resolution of 540 x 960 pixels and a pixel density of 245 ppi.<br />

Under the hood, you get a 1.2Ghz quad-core processor with 1 GB RAM 
and 8 GB expandable storage. At the back lies an 8 megapixel shooter, 
with also does 720p video, along with an impressive 5 megapixel 
front-facer.<br />

The phones comes with support for NFC, quite a treat at this range. 
Support for 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and Wi-Fi is home too.<br />

The phone is powered by a 2,000 mAh battery. It runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, which is, of course, customized by Huawei.<br />

Huawei is one of the quickly-rising manufacturers from China and its 
desire to reach into as many industries as possible shows in its latest 
creation, a wearable, the Talkband B1.<br />

The wearable focuses on fitness and will compete more with products 
like the Nike+ FuelBand SE and Fitbit Force rather than the Samsung Gear
 2 or the forth-coming Apple iWatch.<br />

The front of the Talkband B1 comes with a 1.4″ OLED display, which is
 also flexible. That is powered by a 90 mAh battery which lasts 6 days 
but surprisingly also takes 2 hours to charge. The device is 14.6 mm 
thick.<br />

The Talkband B1 features a popping-out earpiece for making phone 
calls. Connectivity is done either via NFC or Bluetooth 4.1. It is also 
IP57-certified so you wouldn’t care less about water and dust.<br />

Being a fitness-tracker, the device calculates the amount of calories
 you’ve burnt, counts the number of steps you’ve taken and your sleeping
 habits.<br />

Connectivity with a phone is mandatory right now and we don’t yet 
know how many phones are currently supported. A microUSB port is 
built-in right into the band. The Talkband B1 will be available in 6 
colours.<br />

The wearable will be available starting from next month for $135.<br />

Talkband B1 is for people who want a fitness device for keeping track
 of their calories and stuff so if a smartwatch is all you want, you 
should probably stay away.</div>

Huawei has announced a new budget phone for its price-conscious 
audiences with the new Ascend Y530. The phone comes with a 4.5″ display 
and a youthful design.<br />

The display comes with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels which is just fine for a display of this size.

Under the hood, you’ll find a 1.2Ghz dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor with 512 MB RAM and 1 GB expandable storage.
<br />
Around the back lies a 5 megapixel camera with LED Flash, coupled by a VGA shooter at the front.
<br />
The OS running on the phone is Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, customized with Emotion UI. A 1,750 mAh battery completes the mix.

Huawei is all set to launch yet another Dual-SIM smartphone in Pakistan.<br />
After launching a couple of low end smartphones recently, this time 
company is targeting the high-end segment with its Dual-SIM Ascend G700.<br />

Huawei, while confirming Rex Hacker, said that company is launching Dual-SIM Ascend G700 in Pakistan next week. Just as we predicted, Huawei is trying to expand its reach in the Dual-SIM smartphones segment by introducing low, mid and high phones.</div>
G700 takes most of its design inspiration from Ascend Mate. It 
features a 5-inch IPS display with 720p resolution. This screen size is 
considered normal these days for smartphones, but it can also be 
categorized as a phablet — a mini version of Mate.<br />
Ascend G700 isn’t probably the finest hardware around. It is equipped
 with Quad-Core 1.2GHz processor, 2GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage 
with an option to expand memory via microSD card upto 32GB.<br />
Ascend G700 features 8-megapixel primary camera equipped with a 
single LED flash and a secondary 1.3-megapixel snapper for selfies. Both
 cameras are able to record 1080p videos as well. The phone runs on 
Android 4.2 out of the box, with Huawei’s home grown EMUI version 1.6 on
 top of it.<br />
It merits mentioning here that this phone will be exclusively sold by the distribution network of Muller & Phipps, which was appointed recently as the official distributor of Huawei in Pakistan along with Airlink Communication.<br />
There is no word on the pricing yet, but looking at the specs and 
Huawei’s previous pricing strategy this phone will be priced between 
25-30 thousand rupees.<br />

Announced last year to limited acclaim, Huawei’s original MediaPad 
Youth is seeing an update via the new Youth2. The new Android 
4.3-running tablet tablet comes with a 7″ display, a quad-core 
SnapDragon processor and a metallic design.<br />

The display shouts the tablet’s budget status, thanks to subpar 
resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. The design is nice for the range 
though. Despite the gigantic bezels, it comes with a metallic back.<br />

Under the hood, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor clocked
 at 1.2Ghz can be found, alongside 1 GB RAM and 4 GB worth expandable 
storage. A duo of 3 megapixel and VGA cameras can be found at the front 
and back.<br />

Quite unlike most tablets of any size, the Youth2 also supports 2G 
and 3G calls which should really give it an edge against most rivals.<br />

OS running is Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, coupled with Huawei’s Emotion 
UI, of course. Battery capacity is set at 4100 mAh, though it should 
last longer thanks to Huawei’s Dynamic Power Management.<br />

Pricing and availability details aren’t disclosed yet but if priced 
appropriately, it might eventually find quite a lot of success among the
 price-conscious crowd.</div>

On the surface, it may look the same with its 6.1″ 720p HD display, but on the inside, the hardware does have a boost.<br />

The display also features Gorilla Glass coating. The design still 
remains quite commonplace though, with the phone being 9.5mm thick and 
202g in weight.

What isn’t bland is the spec sheet. The processor is now 
available in two versions: either a SnapDragon 400 one clocked at 1.6Ghz
 or Huawei’s own HiSilicon Cortex-A9, with a Adreno 306. Amount of RAM 
is set at 2 GB, with 16 GB worth internal storage, along with a microSD 
card slot.

At the back is a 13 megapixel with f/2.0 aperture and 1080p Full 
HD video, coupled with a 5 mp camera at the front. For connectivity, you
 have microUSB 2.0, USB-OTG, Wi-Fi, 4G LTE and Bluetooth 4.0.

Last month Huawei launched  a mid-range smartphone Ascend G610 in Pakistan, company’s first phone to offer Dual-SIM compatability.<br />
The good news is that Ascend G610 is now available in all major 
cities of Pakistan, at a price-tag of Rs. 20,000 with one year Warranty 
of Airlink Communication.<br />
Ascend G610 comes with two colour options; Black and White.<br />

The first thing you will notice about Ascend G610 is that its big, 
though its not at all categorized as phablet but still its huge in size.
 The well-crafted phone body is entirely made of plastic and if I may 
speak frankly, despite the low price-tag, the Ascend G610 will give you a
 premium feel.<br />

Huawei Ascend G610 dimensions are 142mm x 73.6mm and its 9.9mm thick,
 though a clever design on the back panel gives a lot thinner feel. The 
phone weighs 170 grams, which is heavier than any other Huawei phone 
except Ascend Mate.<br />
The front side is dominated with a large 5-inch IPS LCD. Just in case
 if you don’t know the IPS screens are known for wider viewing angles.<br />
Ascend G610 offers a Quarter-HD resolution of 960 x 540 pixels (220 ppi pixel density), which is almost similar to Ascend G510. The screen sharpness and color saturation is good but one may not term it as ideal.<br />
The position of ear speaker makes it look like a part of the frame, 
other than that there are light sensors, notification’s LED and front 
facing camera along with Huawei logo above the screen. Below the screen 
we have the usual three touch sensitive keys.<br />

It seems like Huawei is always experimenting with the position of USB
 port and headphones jack. Ascend G610 has 3.5mm headphones jack on the 
top and USB port along with mic on the bottom. The right side features 
power and volume rocker keys.<br />

The phone comes in two colors Black and White, I am not sure if the 
black version has a matte finish but we have got the white one, which 
has a glossy plastic back plate.<br />
The back features a 5-megapixel auto-focus camera with LED light and 
Huawei Logo beneath it. The speaker grille is placed on the bottom left.<br />

Removing the back plate reveals two slots for normal (Mini) SIM cards
 and one for micro-SD Card along with Battery compartment. Just like the

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Operating System and EmotionUI:</span></h4>
Ascend G610 comes with Android Jelly Bean 4.2.1 out of the box with Huawei EmotionUI on top of it.<br />
If you are new to Android or don’t like the fancy animations and 
flying/fading app drawers then you will love the EmotionUI. It puts all 
your apps, widgets and shortcuts on the main screen, you can arrange 
these items in folders on multiple screens — so its all easy and fun.<br />
I think there’s no need to tell you that you can always install a custom launcher and use a theme of your own taste.<br />

Ascend G610 comes with EmotionUI version 1.6, which is a little different from what we have seen previously on flagship Ascend P6.
 Of course it adds some SIM management features for Dual-SIM standby. It
 allows you to assign different tasks to the SIMs, for example you can 
preset one SIM to be used for calling and other for SMS — you can also 
set which SIM has to be used for Internet/GPRS or you can set it to 
“Always Ask” mode.<br />
Calls and SMS made from both SIMs are marked and showed in different colors.<br />
In this version of EmotionUI 1.6, shortcut toggles in the 
notifications menu are gone, replaced with the stock Android 4.2 
shortcuts. It also shows the user icon but won’t allow you to add 
multiple users. (A feature introduced in Jelly Bean 4.2 that allows you 
to make different user accounts on a single phone)<br />
Other than the toggles, the Permissions Manager is also missing, 
which used to allow the users to restrict applications to access your 
contacts, SMS, location and Internet. It was a very handy and much 
needed application — I wonder why Huawei has removed this application. I
 have tried installing the app myself but it doesn’t seem to work as 
intended.<br />
The only notable addition is the ON/OFF schedule which allows you to 
set a time to turn off the phone automatically and then boots up at a 
set time. (Probably to save battery and have a peaceful sleep at night)<br />

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Performance and Battery Life:</span></h4>
Huawei Ascend G610 is powered by Huawei’s HiSilicon quad-core SoC 
clocked at 1.2GHz with 1GB of RAM. You won’t feel any lag while 
scrolling the homescreens, browsing websites, running multiple 
applications at the same time.<br />
You may encounter a little lag while playing some resource hungry 
games. Also keep in mind that the phone Internal memory is very limited 
so there are chances that you might not be able to install large-sized 
games/apps.<br />
Considering its specifications the phone provides satisfactory 
results in the benchmarks, a screenshot of different benchmarks is 
attached below.<br />

The phone can run HD videos and VoIP applications like Skype and 
Viber works just fine. The regular calls and texting is also flawless 
and you get good signal reception as well as the the Wireless 
connectivity.<br />
Ascend G610 is packed with a 2150mAh battery which seems to be quite 
adequate for this phone on the paper but actual performance depends upon
 your usage. The battery lasts for almost two days after a full charge 
after normal usage and the standby time is remarkable.<br />

The phone settings offer three different power modes as well as a 
battery saver application, so if you are low on battery you can optimize
 its usage by turning off unnecessary features and killing resource 
hungry apps.<br />

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Camera & Video:</span></h4>
Ascend G610 has a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash on the back and 
front-facing 0.3-megapixel camera. The primary camera performance is 
satisfactory, it handles varying colors, textures and light sources 
well.<br />
The camera, as expected, struggled in low lights, however, performs 
great during day light. It can record videos in 720p resolution. The 
phone features an older version of Camera application and I would prefer
 the one found in Ascend P6 as it was much easier.<br />
On the other hand the front facing camera performance is 
disappointing, The colors are washed out while image quality is not good
 as well. This might be a software issue, but its more likely due to 
cheap camera hardware.<br />
Just like the previous models, you can use the Camera LED as a torch in case of emergency with a dedicated torch application.<br />

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Final Words:</span></h4>
As compared to other Dual-SIM smartphones in the same price range 
(Rs. 16,000 to Rs. 24,000), Huawei Ascend G610 offers a better build 
quality and a smooth performance on a huge screen. It offers offers 
sharp colors and wide viewing angle — although it lacks a little in the 
Camera department but still Ascend G610 can easily leave an impression.<br />
I think Huawei has finally made a wise decision to provide customers 
what they want at a reasonable price. Customers buying Ascend G610 will 
be happy to have found an Android device with dual SIM capability 
without compromising with the quality and performance.<br />
When it comes to Dual-SIM smartphones, usually we have two choices, 
QMobile and Samsung — The problem with QMobile is that their handsets 
are of poor quality and the low RAM, which creates countless troubles.<br />
Samsung phones, on the other hands, have good build quality but in 
this price range all their devices come with tiny screens and outdated 
hardware/software.<br />
Personally I like this device, but to grab the attention of masses — 
Huawei will have to drop the price a little (by 2K or around) and 
Introduce one or two more Dual SIM smartphones, may be one more high end
 device and a low end smartphone will make a perfect scenario.</div>

Huawei is a rather unknown Windows Phone partner of Microsoft. It announced its first phone of the line-up way back in January and that was it. But now, they think its about time for a new phone to be announced and they’ve done exactly so with the Ascend W2.<br />
The phone comes with a larger 4.3″ inch display with 800 x 480 
resolution. It’s also Gorilla Glass-protected and comes with a Super 
Sensitive display. Design-wise, it is quite chubby, weighing in at 160 
grams. Bezels are quite massive too.
<br />
Under the bonnet, it comes with a 1.4Ghz dual-core processor with
 512 GB RAM, Adreno 305 and 8 GB non-expandable storage. Towards the 
back is a 5 mp camera with 720p HD video recording. There’s no secondary
 camera on the front.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 3.0, microUSB 2.0, Wi-Fi and 3G. Battery capacity is set at 1700 mAh.

Pricing is not known right now but we will know that when it will
 be released in the coming few weeks. Color options include Blue, Red, 
Yellow and Black. If the Ascend W2 is placed in the range of the Lumia 
620, it has the potential to become a bestseller.</div>

Huawei has unveiled its mid-range Ascend G610 Smartphone that supports dual SIMs simultaneously.<br />
Ascend G610 features a 5-inch IPS QHD (540 x 960 pixels) display. 
Notably, it is a dual-SIM handset with GSM+GSM and also supports 3G.<br />
Ascend G610 Smartphone is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor, and 
1GB of RAM and 4GB of ROM, along with expandable storage of up to 32GB 
via Micro-SD card.<br />
It runs Android 4.2 with company’s Emotion UI on top. Moreover, the 
mid Micro-SD -range G610 sports a 5-megapxiel camera alongside an LED 
flash and includes a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera.<br />
Importantly, G610 also includes sensors like G-sensor, light sensor and digital proximity.<br />
Ascend G610 comes in two colors – Black and White. It packs a 2150mAh battery and has dimensions of 142×73.6×9.9mm.<br />

Huawei has announced a new waterproof smartphone for the masses with 
the Honor 3. The phone comes with high-end specs but still comes with 
competitive pricing which means it might give other waterproof 
smartphones a bit of competition.<br />
Design-wise, we see nothing ordinary here. You get a 4.7 inch display
 with HD resolution at front. Beneath the display, you have a quad-core 
processor running on Huawei’s own K3V2E chipset. Alongside it, you have 2
 GBs of RAM with 8 GB internal storage which also happens to be 
expandable.<br />
