 The Desire brand, although popular, now has more numbers in its 
member’s name than you can remember. So if the Desire 200, 300, 310, 
400, 500, 501, 600, 601 and 700 weren’t enough, here are the Desire 816

While Sony was quite busy with announcing flagships, it certainly 
didn’t forget the lower-end phones either. The Xperia M2 is a mid-range 
phone which costs $300 (about 31,500 PKR) and comes with a 4.8″ display,
 an 8 megapixel camera and a quad-core processor.<br />

The 4.8″ display comes with qHD resolution, which makes it the largest phone of its class. The panel is also scratch-resistant.<br />

Under the hood, you get a 1.2Ghz Snapdragon 400 processor with four 
Cortex A7 cores. Alongside it is 1 GB worth RAM and 8 GB internal 
storage, expandable via microSD.<br />

Towards the back is an 8 megapixel Exmor RS camera with LED Flash and
 HDR. Quite surprising for its price bracket is the fact that it shoots 
Full HD 1080p videos. Its pleasing indeed to see Sony bringing its 
imaging prowess further down the chain. Before Sony Announce Its Latest <a href="http://rexhacker.blogspot.com/2014/02/sony-announces-its-latest-flagship.html" target="_blank">Flagship, Xperia Z2</a>.<br />

Connectivity options include 3G , NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and GPS. 
The OS running on the phone is Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, which should be 
upgraded later onwards. Battery capacity is set at 2,300 mAh.<br />

Anyone who thought Samsung has had enough with wearables at the MWC 
was wrong. There is indeed a third Gear, called the Gear Fit.<br />

The wearable is aesthetically the most-pleasing of the lot. Its 1.84″
 rectangular curved AMOLED display gives it a touch of the future. The 
resolution is quite modest at 432 x 128. It comes in three different 
colours with changeable rubber straps and weighs just 27g.<br />

Just like the <a href="http://rexhacker.blogspot.com/2014/02/samsung-announcesthe-gear-2-and-gear.html" target="_blank">Gear 2 and Neo</a>,
 the Fit also runs on Samsung’s new Tizen OS. Samsung has paid some 
special attention to make the device a perfect fitness tracker. You get a
 built-in heart sensor, pedometer and step-counter.<br />
Huawei also announce its First wearable device that name is <a href="http://rexhacker.blogspot.com/2014/02/huawei-announces-its-first-wearable.html" target="_blank">Talkband B1</a>. <br />

The Fit can’t take calls but it does display your notification on your wrist. It also syncs with the Galaxy S4′s S-Health app.<br />

Connectivity is done with Samsung phone via Bluetooth 4.0. (Sorry, no NFC.)<br />

Finally, just like the Gear watches and the S4, the Fit is 
IP67-certified, which means water-resistance for up to 30 minutes under a
 meter of water, apart from dust-resistance. Battery life is said to 
last up to 4 days.<br />

The Fit is said to be released in April but pricing details aren’t revealed as of yet.<br />

Given its pleasing design and integration prowess, it is safe to say 
that the wearable can give the Fitbit Force and Nike+ Fuelband SE a run 
for their money.</div>

Oh boy. If you had asked us a few hours back whether Samsung, the 
world’s largest phone-maker, was going to announce its next flagship 
today, we would’ve said “Heck no”. But believe it or not, its here and 
alive: the new Galaxy S5.<br />

Quite remarkably for a Samsung flagship, the phone comes without a 
lot of hype. Samsung didn’t do much to build it up either as they 
probably knew that there aren’t really a lot of earth-shattering 
features in here.<br />

<h4>
<span style="font-weight: bold;">Design</span></h4>
The biggest head-turner in the new phone is the design. Gone are the 
slippery, cheapish polycarbonate plastics of the past, welcome the new 
“modern glam” look. The perforated, dimpled back is similar to the first
 Nexus 7 and is quite an improvement over the Samsung phones of 
yesteryear.

It is still made of a leather-like material like the Note 3. 
Surrounding the phone is the same metal-imitating silver plastic. The 
phone itself will be available in four colours: Black, White, Gold and 
Blue.
<br />
Another quantum leap in the Galaxy S5 is the IP67 certification, 
which means the phone is water and dust-proof. The front, apart from 
carrying the display, has a home button with an integrated finger-print 
scanner built-in.<br />

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Display and Fingerprint scanner</span></h4>
The display of the Galaxy S5 is a larger by 0.1″, to 5.1″. It is 
still a Super AMOLED panel and carries the same 1080p resolution which 
means it is almost the same as last year.
<br />
While latest rumours suggested a QHD panel, Samsung obviously 
thought it was necessary. We might’ve grimaced but Sony too has used the
 same resolution in the <a href="http://rexhacker.blogspot.com/2014/02/sony-announces-its-latest-flagship.html" target="_blank">Xperia Z2</a>. 
<br />
The most-intriguing feature of the front is the finger-print 
scanner. Just like Apple’s TouchID, it is built-in straight into the 
home button. Swiping the finger over it unlocks the phone. It is 
implemented in phone unlocking and further into the phone, where you can
 add insert the feature to keep other people at bay.
<br />
Samsung has even partnered with PayPal to allow users to make 
online payments via the scanner. We don’t know much more about it so 
we’ll update if something comes up.<br />

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Internals</span></h4>
Being a flagship phone, you naturally think that the phone will come 
with beefy hardware and you’ll be right in doing so. The new Galaxy S5 
comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with four Krait 400 cores
 clocked at 2.5Ghz and an Adreno 330 GPU. <br />

Internal storage will be either 16 or 32 GB, which means the 64 GB 
version is axed this time. It will of course be expandable via a microSD
 card of up to 128 GB. (In case you wanna know, SanDisk announced those 
earlier at the MWC and they cost about 145 Euros a piece.)
<br />
The former is the second most-advanced processor which Qualcomm 
makes after the 805. Apart from that, the phone also comes with the new 
Wi-Fi 802.11ac, NFC, Infrared and the new microUSB 3.0.
<br />
4G LTE-advanced is supported and the phone can provide speeds of 
up to 150 Mbps. It also comes with a new feature called “Download 
Booster” which combines the speed of Wi-Fi and data connection to 
provide ultra-fast network.<br />

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Camera</span></h4>
Galaxy S5 comes with a new 16 megapixel camera at the back, with LED 
Flash. The camera provides the fastest autofocus of any smartphone 
camera right now, thanks to the new Snapdragon 801′s image signal 
processor.<br />

The camera also shoots 4K videos at 30 frames per second this time. 
And as is mandatory with Samsung, there are a few bonuses bundled along 
too. The first and foremost is the new HDR, which makes photos look more
 striking and natural.
<br />
The second, is Selective Focus. This is a thing commonly seen on 
advanced cameras. It allows you to sharpen only the parts of the image 
that you want, blurring the rest of the snap.<br />

<span style="font-weight: bold;">OS</span></h4>
We know that Samsung’s phones come full of hated bloatware and a heavy skin but this time, things are less intense.<br />

The phone comes with Android 4.4.2 KitKat pre-installed. The 
interface is a bit flat and simpler, with less menus. It still comes 
with Samsung’s S-branded apps but it is a bit cleaner look and 
definitely a welcome change, though, we would’ve liked a bit more.<br />

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Miscellaneous</span></h4>
Samsung clearly intents in making this phone the one-stop to all your
 fitness needs. The S5 is the world’s first phone with a heart-rate 
sensor, which it has on its back. It also comes with an updated S-health
 app which syncs with Samsung’s Gear and Fit devices.<br />

The battery capacity is now set at 2,800 mAh and is said to last 20% longer.<br />

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Competition</span></h4>
Not many companies have announced flagships up till now, except for Google with the Nexus 5 and Sony with the <a href="http://rexhacker.blogspot.com/2014/02/sony-announces-its-latest-flagship.html" target="_blank">Xperia Z2</a>. The S5 faces stiff competition from both and unfortunately doesn’t come with a lot of distinguishing features.<br />

If you’re a Samsung exec or fan, its easy to say that today wasn’t 
the best day of your life. The reaction to this announcement has been 
decidedly underwhelming, with many people questioning the lack of 
innovation factor in the phone.
<br />
Of course, you could’ve said the same thing about Sony’s flagship
 which isn’t exactly ground-breaking but unlike Sony, Samsung is a front
 runner. It is the company after all which embraced HD and Full HD 
displays with open arms and is known to experiment and implement. What 
happened now?
<br />
Ultimately, the most-puzzling thing is that the Galaxy S5 can’t be declared the best phone that Samsung makes right now, as the <a href="http://rexhacker.blogspot.com/2013/09/samsung-launches-3rd-generation-note.html" target="_blank">Note 3</a>
 is ahead in a number of ways. The Galaxy S5, then, is while a 
respectable addition to the company’s flagship lineup, not exactly 
properly distinguishable.</div>

Sony has announced its new flagship tablet for 2014 at the MWC, the 
Xperia Z2 tablet. In case you’re wondering, ‘tablet’ is officially a 
part of the name too.<br />

Sony is calling its new baby the thinnest and lightest waterproof 
slate in the world. At just 6.4mm thick and 439g heavy, the aesthetics 
of this tablet are really inspiring, even if the bezels are a big wider 
than we would’ve liked.
<br />
IP58 certification further sweetens things up.
<br />
The front is home to a 10.1″ Full HD display. Apart from 
borrowing the name from Sony’s flagship smartphone, the tablet has also 
borrowed the display tech, namely, the Triluminos IPS panel with 
X-Reality engine.
<br />
Under the hood, you get a 2.3Ghz quad-core Snapdragon 801 
processor and Adreno 330 GPU, along with 3 GB RAM and 16 GB expandable 
storage.
<br />
At the back of the tablet is a 8.1 megapixel camera with Exmor RS
 sensor, HDR and 1080p Full HD video recording. A 2 megapixel 1080p 
front-facer can be found too.
<br />
NFC, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0, FM Radio and microUSB 
2.0 with MHL 3.0 take up the connectivity responsibilities. The tablet’s
 speakers are also moved to the front to form a new S-Force Surround 
Sound setup. For all the gamers out there, Sony is bringing official 
controller support for both its Z2 products.

The Z2 tablet runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat. A 6,000 mAh battery powers the tablet up. Just like the <a href="http://rexhacker.blogspot.com/2014/02/sony-announces-its-latest-flagship.html" target="_blank">Xperia Z2</a>, Sony will bundle this tablet along with a noise-isolating headphone too.

Pricing details are unknown as of now but considering the Wi-Fi 
version of the original tablet went up on retail for $499, we don’t 
think pricing for this one will be much different. The Z2 tablet will be
 available in either Black or White.</div>

The MediaPad X1 comes with a 7″display with Full HD resolution. Its 
biggest attraction is its design though. Weighing just 239 grams and 
being just 7.18mm thick, the MediaPad X1 is both the thinnest and 
narrowest tablet in the world. Its also quite a looker thanks to its aluminum body. <br />

Under the hood, you get Huawei’s HiSilicon 910 processor with four 
cores clocked at 1.6Ghz. You also get 2GB worth RAM, 16 GB expandable 
storage and a Mali-450 MP4 GPU.

At the back lies a 13-megapixel camera with f/2.4 aperture along 
with a 2 mp camera at the front. It is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery.

The tablet will be available for 399 Euros or around 57,000 PKR.<br />

 thick – package alongwith front-speakers and an aluminum body.

different breed from the one on the X1), 1 GB RAM and 8 GB expandable 
storage.

A duo of 5 and 1 megapixel cameras can be found at the front and 
back respectively. A 4,800 mAH battery powers it up for up to 8 hours of
 movie watching.

It will be available for 299 Euros or about 43,000 PKR.

So you love Windows Phone, Android and Asha but can’t seem to decide 
which one to buy on a budget? Nokia has now solved your problem.<br />
Rumours were right. We have been hearing about Nokia’s Android phones
 for years now but it is only now that they’re official. The three 
phones under the ‘X’ banner, the X, X+ and XL all run on open-source 
Android project version 4.1.2. This is an approach similar to the one 
used by Amazon for its Kindle tablets.<br />
Nokia said that major apps will be available at launch for the Nokia X
 family of devices, including Facebook, LINE Free Voice and Messages, 
LINE Camera, LINE Bubble, Picsart, Plants vs. Zombies 2, Real Football 
2014, Skype, Spotify, Swiftkey, Twitter, Viber, Vine and WeChat, among 
others.<br />
Moreover, a first for Nokia customers around the world, BBM will also
 be available on the Nokia X family of devices in addition to Windows 
Phone.<br />
It’s quite remarkable that the company has announced three phones, since all the leaks indicated a single, starter-range model.<br />
<span style="font-weight: bold;">Nokia Experience with Microsoft Services and Google’s Apps</span><br />
The OS comes with a Windows Phone-like looks on its interface. The 
phone comes pre-loaded with Microsoft’s services like Skype and Outlook,
 as well as other applications such as Facebook.<br />
Google has been deliberately side-lined from the entire experience.<br />
Why Android then? That’s because of the apps, of course. Buyers will 
be able to side-load any Android APK on the phone, not just games and 
apps but also launchers.<br />
Nokia’s Fastlane is also built-in into the phone’s interface. In case
 you don’t know, it gives you a track of everything going on in the 
background and your history.<br />
Based on from what we’ve seen, the interface isn’t too smooth, which 
might’ve been due to the fact that the OS running is Android Jelly Bean,
 rather than the newer, more customized Android.<br />

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Nokia X and X+</span></h4>
The first phones of the line-up are the X and X+. Both are virtually 
the same, except that the latter has more internal, and expandable 
storage.<br />
The design of the phones is undeniably Asha-inspired. Those vivid 
colours and replaceable backs clearly indicate the price-point and the 
target audience. Dual-sim connectivity further clarifies that.<br />

The front is adorned with a 4″ display with 800 x 480 resolution. 
Below the display, you get a sole capacitive key, which takes you to the
 last screen on a single tap, or the home screen on a longer one.<br />
Under the hood, you get a 1Ghz dual-core Snapdragon processor, along 
with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB of internal storage. The X+ will have 
expandable memory and 768 MB RAM. At the back is a sole 3 megapixel 
fixed-focus camera.<br />
The phones are also quite compact, being 1 cm thick and weighing 
129g, meaning they’ll fit in your palm quite comfortably. The 1,500 mAh 
battery will allow up to 10.3 hours of 3G talk time.<br />
The price of the Nokia X and X+ are 89 Euros (12,800 PKR) and 99 Euros (14,200 PKR) respectively.<br />
As expected, the phone will be released only in developing markets such as Asia including Pakistan, Nokia has told, in Q2.<br />

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Nokia XL</span></h4>
The XL is certainly a phone we weren’t expecting. It is the top-end 
smartphone which also runs on forked Android 4.1.2 but sits one slot 
above the Nokia X+, in the territory of the Lumia 520.<br />
Coming with a substantially larger 5″ display with the same WVGA 
resolution, the Nokia XL features the same capacitive key at the bottom 
of the display.<br />
Under the hood, you get the same 1Ghz dual-core Snapdragon processor 
with 4 GB internal storage but 768 MB RAM this time. At the back lies a 5
 megapixel auto-focus camera with LED Flash, along with a 2 megapixel 
camera at the front.<br />
The phone will hit emerging markets in Q2 of this year for 109 Euros or about 15,700 PKR.<br />
With the X series, Nokia is giving its fan-base yet another option to
 join the family. Whether it will be successful remains a matter of 
debate and we can’t say anything for sure until we’ve tried it out for 
ourselves.<br />

Sony seems to be Google’s most-active Android partner right now, 
churning out new flagships every few months. It seems not long ago that 
it announced its <a href="http://rexhacker.blogspot.com/2013/09/sony-outs-its-xperia-z1-brings-2-new.html" target="_blank">Xperia Z1</a> flagship and now here’s the Z2.<br />
The upgrades made over that phone aren’t ground-breaking but welcome 
nonetheless. All the people who just brought a Z1, we sense, won’t be 
too happy right now. But with Sony, you never know.<br />
The display here is a 5.2″ Full HD, slightly larger but with the same
 resolution. The real bump comes in the panel’s technology. Rather than 
using the same dull unit as the Xperia Z and Z1, Sony has instead chosen
 a new Triluminos IPS display which uses a technology called Live Color 
LEDs.<br />
These displays also use Sony’s Bravia tech, made popular via its televisions.<br />
Under the hood, you find a new quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset, with
 four Krait 400 cores clocked at 2.3Ghz. That’s accompanied with 3 GB of
 RAM.<br />

At the back is Sony’s famed 20.7 megapixel Exmor RS camera with f/2.0

also has a few clean tricks under its belt. Timeshift is a new feature 
which allows you to shoot and edit slow-motion videos. A dedicated mode 
for Vine videos and background defocusing is also home.<br />
The front boasts a 2.2 megapixel Exmor R shooter. The Z2 is powered 
by a 3,200 mAh battery. The OS running on board is Android 4.4.2 KitKat,
 customized obviously by Sony.<br />
Being a flagship phone, the phone is monumentally thin – just 8.2mm –
 and looking at its size, weighing a marvelous 158g. And as you’re 
already guessing, the phone is IP58-certified, meaning you can take it 
underwater with you without a worry in the world.<br />

The new Xperia Z2 will be available for 600 Euros or around 86,000 
PKR at its launch in March. Sony does sweeten the deal further by adding
 its own, MDR-NC31EM noise-isolating headphones in the package.<br />
So if you already own the Z1, the Z2 may not be as tempting and we 
really don’t think that the device is worth upgrading to. If you don’t, 
then we propose waiting up a bit until Samsung and HTC have announced 
their competitors to the phone, which we think are probably coming in 
the next one or two months.</div>

 Asha 220, which is the world’s cheapest internet-ready phone and the

The Asha 220 is a “super-affordable” feature-phone which will be 
available in either single-sim or dual-sim versions. Nokia is marketing 
this device as the cheapest way to connect to the internet.
You’ll get a 2.4″ display, 2G connectivity, 2 megapixel rear-camera and a month worth standby.

To further spice things up, Nokia is also pre-loading apps such 
as Twitter and Facebook into the thing. Nokia’s Xpress Browser which 
cuts down on data to fasten up the 2G internet is also added, with Bing 
search integration coming along.

The design is classical Nokia too with an alphanumeric keyboard 
and a five-way navigation keys. The phone is available for 29 Euros, or 
4,100 PKR. Priced competitively, Nokia is using this phone as a tool to 
bring more people to the internet.<br />

Ascend G6 comes with a 4.5″ display, a quad-core processor and an 8 
megapixel main-camera.<br />

Huawei Ascend G6 display comes with qHD resolution of 540 x 960 pixels and a pixel density of 245 ppi.<br />

Under the hood, you get a 1.2Ghz quad-core processor with 1 GB RAM 
and 8 GB expandable storage. At the back lies an 8 megapixel shooter, 
with also does 720p video, along with an impressive 5 megapixel

Talkband B1 is for people who want a fitness device for keeping track

Samsung’s first proper entry in the smartwatch in recent times might be full of missteps but that hasn’t stopped it from trying.<br />
So about half a year after it announced the <a href="http://rexhacker.blogspot.com/2013/10/samsung-along-with-ufone-launches.html" target="_blank">Galaxy Gear</a>, here are the Gear 2 and Gear Neo.<br />
And no there’s no typo in here. Samsung has opted for Tizen instead 
of Android and hence no Galaxy naming. The difference between the two 
smartwatches is almost negligible with the only difference being the 
absence of a camera and weight.<br />
The Gears come with a better 1Ghz dual-core processor under the hood,
 along with the same 512 MB RAM and 4 GB storage. The screen is the same
 1.6″ panel though.<br />

The Ministry of Information Technology (MoIT) has finalized a draft 
proposal to make provision for the prevention of electronic crimes in 
the country.<br />

As stated in the draft, the Act is named the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2014.<br />

Such an Act was definitely required in Pakistan as the use of IT 
across the country has grown exponentially in the past few years. Both 
businesses and individuals will surely welcome the implementation of 
this Act.<br />

Commenting on the Draft the Minister of State for Information 
Technology and Telecom Ms. Anusha Rehman stated, “We are going to table a
 comprehensive Cyber crime bill before the cabinet which has been 
prepared in consultation with all stakeholders over the last 3 years. 
International best practices have been taken in to consideration while 
drafting it.”<br />

The submission of the Draft to the cabinet is expected this week. The
 State Minister chaired a meeting to review the final draft of the bill.
 The meeting was also attended by Mr. Akhlaq A. Tarrar, Secretary IT, 
Mr. Muhammad Amir Malik, Member (IT), Mr. Yasir Qadir, Member (Telecom) 
and representatives from Ministry of law, PTA, FIA and representative of
 ISPAK, PASHA and Barrister Zahid Jamil.<br />

It is learned that Barrister Zahid Jamil – and his team – drafted the bill.<br />

Once implemented, Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2014 will help
 curb the illegal and unauthorized access to information system. The 
abuse and misuse of technology should be addressed under this Cyber 
Crimes Law.<br />

According to the draft bill posted on MoIT’s website, the Act will 
deal with Illegal access to information system, Illegal access to 
program or data, Illegal interference with program or data, Illegal 
interference with information system, Cyber terrorism, Electronic 
forgery, Electronic fraud, Identity crime, Special protection of women 
amongst many other things.<br />

Only the investigation officer of the investigation agency will have the power of arrest.<br />

According to the proposed draft, the Federal Investigation Agency 
(FIA) or any other investigating agency May be appointed by the Federal 
Government for cases of cyber crime.<br />

The draft bill proposes that ‘The Federal Government may cooperate 
with any foreign Government, 27 x 7 network, any foreign agency or any 
international agency for the purposes of investigations or proceedings 
concerning offences related to information systems, electronic 
communication or data.’<br />

The bill further adds that no person whether it is a police officer 
or investigation officer, other than an investigating officer of the 
special investigation agency, has the authority to investigate the 
offence under this Act.<br />

E-Crime bill has suggested following punishments for cyber/E-crimes:<br />

<li>As per draft regulation, a person accessing an information system – 
any device that has processing power, operates electronically and stores
 sensitive and private data – without authorization may face 
imprisonment for up to six months and a fine of up to Rs. 100,000 or 
both. Changing content of information system may result into 
imprisonment of up to nine months or a fine of up to Rs. 200,000.</li>
<li>Unauthorized destruction/deletion of data may result into 
imprisonment of up to three years or a fine of up to Rs. 500,000 or 
both.</li>
<li>Accessing an information system to spread panic/fear or if such 
access is rated as severe cyber terrorism then punishment can extent to 
imprisonment for up to fourteen years or a fine of up to Rs. 50 million 
or both.</li>
<li>Electronic forgery will be punished with imprisonment of up to two years or a fine of up to Rs. 200,000 or both</li>
<li>If electronic fraud is found and proved then guilty can face an 
imprisonment of up to five years or a fine of up to Rs. 10 million or 
both.</li>
<li>If someone is found guilty of posing another person’s identity then 
he/she may face imprisonment of three months of a fine of Rs. 50,000 or 
both</li>
<li>Unauthorized interception of private data (for example hacking 
emails) can result into imprisonment of two years or a fine up to Rs. 
500,000 or both</li>
<li>Special protection for women: If someone is found publicly spreading
 any content (video/pictures/audio) that may harm the reputation of 
women then he/she may face imprisonment for one year or a fine up to Rs.
 1 million or both</li>
